3840 x 2160 outstanding.

I am so happy with my 32"TV/monitor 1920 x 1080.
Use if for parking and bit of work.

Bet you get worked up every time you use it...
Thanks for sharing.

Nice!

Plenty of room at the top for PG Music to add more icons, don't you think? wink

LOL that's it PG would love that.

It was one I had to connect up on a friends PC, he does painting and artwork, had old RB on a thumb drive and ran it.
Way too high res for my eyes !

That's the problem. PG can't put more stuff on the screen that can only be seen at a high res like this. Can you imagine the complaints then?

This does bring up a good point though. I don't know what percentage of us are now using large HD TV's for this but I suspect that number is growing. I started about 4 years ago with a Sony 32" and now I'm using a Sony 51" in my living room using a 25' HDMI cable running from the bedroom through a small hole in the wall to the living room. TV's are getting so ridiculously cheap now I'm thinking of upgrading to a 65".

PG could have a version of Biab/RB that's designed for high res big screens but that version would be useless on a laptop or tablet. Maybe they need to think about two separate versions of each program?

Instead of two versions, two words;
responsive design.

The app checks your screen resolution and adjusts accordingly.

We do it all the time with web apps. I know it's different with an OS, but can/should be done. Too many resolutions in use these days.

Tablet to big screen.
Admittedly, we only account for 1920 on web work .. 3840 is huge .. but I know it's coming.

Anyway, I can't help but notice a kind of comical 'coincidence' ..
if you go to Options-Resolution in RB the max setting is 3840!

/yeah I know it's a whole different 'resolution', but it is a coincidence. smile

Responsive design, I like that.

The problem is by all accounts, the basic code for both Biab and RB is pretty old and probably won't support something like this without a complete rewrite. Considering all the talk about 64 bit, maybe that's happening.

Yes, it would be a lot of work. It'll be fun to see what they've been working on all this time.

When I'm in Hi Res I use this Mouse Zoom http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=265187#Post265187 it works same as Mac Ctrl+ Mouse Wheel only I put it on the Left Shift + Mouse Wheel because some App like PhotoShop use Ctrl+Wheel to zoom.

On most systems holding CTRL while hitting the '+' key will cause the window to zoom in.

Holding CTRL while hitting the zero key will cause it to go back to default.
Just thought I'd mention it. Works for browsers too.

Right, I use that all the time while browsing but it doesn't do anything when using my DAW's including Biab. Changing what you see with Biab is strictly a function of screen res.

Yes in Firefox or IE you can hold the Ctrl + Mouse Wheel to Zoom the page.
This is the AutoHotKey Mouse Wheel Zoom
Mac Style Screen Zoom.mp4 great for sore eyes.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
