I have a successful BIAB SGU file and want to open it in RT for more work.
I "open" it in RT but not all the tracks come out of the BIAB.
The drums are a RD track and part of the original BIAB SGU but have NOT come over - what I have is a weird Midi drum track consisting of a few whistles and squeaks!!
The Hi-Q and SuperTrack tracks havent made it either - even though they show on the Comments page (I guess that is just the page from BIAB and nothing to do with RT).I have "50 - Strings Ensemble2" instead - it was NEVER in the BIAB file?
Why havent all my tracks made it and why the weird tracks that I HAVE got?
Any ideas?

I do not know the answer to your specific question but I would suggest either try creating a Midi File in BIAB which can then be opened in RB (old method) or use Drag & Drop (new method). You are then able to check for the differences with the .SGU version file.

Have you set up RealBand to use SampleTank? If not, then it won't know what to do with Hi-Q tracks.
Also, does the style you used in BIAB actually use RealDrums, or were the RealDrums substitution on (where BIAB will substitute the MIDI drums in the style file with a comparable RealDrum). All RT/RD styles have an underlying MIDI style, which may or may not have any relation to how the RT's/RD's sound, but form the basis for substituting instruments. So check to make sure you also have RealDrum substitution set in RealBand. Also, have you set up RealBand to find the RD's properly? You have to tell RealBand where the RD files are located.
Those are the things I would look at first.

You are spot on!
I made (yet again) the fundamental mistake of assuming that if BIAB knew it, then RB also knew it!
So if I'm to use RB after my "composing/arranging" (lol)in BIAB,I have to do all the allocations etc twice over
What a B---ache.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
