Yes, I know that it's possible to use the style file and construct the exact beat you want by essentially programming/modifying the file. However, from what this requires scrutinizing the wave-forms of the RD track and finding the bits you want and then assembling the pattern piecemeal.

This seems like a massive PITA, as does regenerating sections over and over until you find exactly what you want.

I don't imagine that having the Multi-track function to work with RDs would be much more difficult than it is for RTs.
