Hello to all forumers!
Little issue when trying to install RealTracks here: software won't let me install them on a separate SSD drive (I'm trying to save space on the laptop). I get a message saying that they can be installed only on the disk that is running OS X.....

Many thanks to all!!
PS: I'd post an image showing the message I get when trying to install but can't find the option to copy/paste image from my laptop....

Install it where you can then just move the RealTracks and Drums folders to the SSD then set the new locations in RealTracks Prefs and RealDrums Prefs. If you are installing from a usb drive just select the option to use RealTracks from USB drive, then copy the 2 folders to the SSD.

Shift-Command-4 saves screen shot to desktop.

Cool!!!
Thanks for the tip!

One moment... I get the first advice about installation method. That's cool.

Concerning the "set the new locations in RealTracks Prefs and RealDrums Prefs"
Where exactly do I go to do that?
+
"If you are installing from a use drive just select the option to use RealTracks from USB drive, then copy the 2 folders to the SSD."
.....??

Thanks again!

Click on the RealTracks icon > Prefs
Click on the RealDrums icon > Prefs

You should have a similar installer as the Win one below, select the 2nd option.

Fat chance....not working!
...I know about Shift-Command-4, but when I try to post the image on the forum it only gives me the option to insert from a url, not from my laptop...

Basically I have a very large number of "N/A....etc"' RealTracks that I can listen to with the "preview" kind of button but when I point BAIB to them don't actually "come up" at all.
Here's the message I get: "42 RealTracks have r*.st2 files in the BB Soloist folder, but no RealTracks in the folder /Volumes..../Applications/Band-in-a-Box/RealTracks.Either install RealTracks again, or point......"
BUT they ARE there!

To attach pic click the File Manager under the posting section.
Move the RealTracks and Drums folders to the SSD then click Rebuild button in the RealTrack and RealDrums Pickers.

Ok,
So I finally had some free time and ..managed!
BUT...: I have a very large number of styles that are shown as RT N/A (example: Style Picker + Clapton + Change the World = (RT n/a when trying to apply the "CHANGE" style.
If I select "Open style from disk" CHANGE.sty IS there! I select it and get message in yellow box saying I don't have real tracks and drums for this style!!!
How do I get them?

Similar problem when trying to rebuild RealTracks. I get this long message saying basically: 95RealTracks have r*.st2 files in the BB Soloist fold but no RealTracks in (SSD) Either install RealTracks again or point..etc

What do I do?
It's driving me nuts (excuse my french)!

Thanks again!
I actually have the latest update

But...., something funny (by the way, I installed from usb): I had BIAB installed on laptop, no latest update.
Everything was fine.
Installed on external drive and copied the EXACT same folders/files I had on laptop + UPDATE. And some styles I was using (one which was a funky latin Santana sort of style) would not come up on the new install with the update.
So I reinstalled the same version I had on laptop (no updates). Now I get the funky/latin etc style but NOT the CHANGE (and others).....
....maddening!
Just checked: the folder you mention (Bass, Electric, Soul70sA-B Ev16 100 is in fact in RT folder, but I had to find it using a little OS X App called Easyfind, because if I open the actual RT folder mentioned I only see a series of BS ones...)
What's going on?.....

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
