Hi, when I signed up for the forums I was in a (too) whimsical mood and put in MC Melly etc... - is there any way I can change this? Thanks

You could try sending a PM to "webmaster" and request to change your Login Name. Go to the tab called "My Home and Settings" above.

I don't know any way you can change it yourself. Good luck.

Marry me....wait the wife is ...never mind....

My daughter has a best friend, Melonie...French...we always have called her Melette due to her diminutive size.....which will not strike a power chord...drop the 3rd....

You could become "The Artist Formerly Known As Whatever It Was Before I Adopted This . . . Symbol Thingie". Yeh. That should get it.

Hee hee! Well, I've mailed the webmaster and we'll see. I feel embarassed to post because it makes the "poster" column really wide and scrunches all the other columns up - I feel like my forum footprint is too large!!!!! That'll teach me to be flippant with handles.

I think you have to re-register using your "new" name. I wanted to do this a few years ago also but understood I would loose all the post I was involved in for the year or years prior. And sense I get paid 10.00 for every post (every five years or so) I sure did not want to do that . . . oh, should have not said that. But as you have just started posting recently and are sort of new, and refreshing I might add, it might not be so big a deal.

Later,

10 per post? Well, huccome I'm only getting 7.50?

A Melette is a member of The Melettes, a term for me doing my own backing vox. There are 3 regular members - Etta (who has to be turned down in the mix because she always sounds like a man) who takes the 3rd (or fourth) below the melody; Dusty who sings the middle voice (and is most dependable and tuneful); and Tramaine who sings the highest bits and is very loud, occasionally out of tune, annoys the neighbours and drives the rabbits mad.

To hear the Melettes rehearsing :

PS. If anyone knows the rest of this gospel song, please let me know...thanks.

Mel - I do believe you are rapidly becoming a folk hero in this neck of the woods.

It would almost be a shame to have the MC etc. etc. disappear - there's no missing your posts that's for sure.

Whimsical works for me.

Cheers

It's like finding out that everyone in the band has resigned and you're left all alone... and then finding out that they all formed a new band, without you.....

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
