What a sad day. This band is without a doubt, one of, if not my favorite band. They have been instrumental in forming my musical direction and their style is evident in a number of songs i have written. They are icons. All of them.... Dusty Hill was the foundation and driving force behind the music. This song is the quintessential ZZ Top. https://youtu.be/60bTeETyf1YConcrete and Steel Billy's plaintive singing about a girl.... his tasty but grungy tone guitar playing, Frank's solid and tasty chops on the drums, and under it all, driving it forward is Dusty's solid bottom end pounding out the foundation of the song. He will be missed. I hear that his 20 year bass guitar tech Elwood Francis is stepping in to keep the Top rocking..... As Billy sang so eloquently.... No I can't stop rocking.....
