This will mean nothing to people anywhere but northeast Ohio, but I need to post it somewhere just to get rid of it. Here in Cleveland we all enjoyed the work of a rock reviewer named Jane Scott. She reviewed everybody you can name until her retirement in 2002 from our major newspaper, The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Jane passed away overnight, and the city is in a state of stunned realization that a local icon is gone. Jane began covering the music scene right around the time The Beatles changed our lives. She was a retired Navy Lieutenant, and was a strong participant in the campaign to bring the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame to Cleveland. And only in Ohio will you get this joke, but we gave her a free pass for having gone to college at Michigan. To quote Jane, she truly was "wonnerful wonnerful wonnerful". RIP Jane. We'll miss you.

Wel,l you guys in that state up north will have several years of gridiron dominance now and I am already preparing for that. With the team OSU will have for the next few years I believe that school up north could probably grab 45 guys at the student union and win.
And yes, it will ALWAYS be "that school up north" to me.... LOL!!!

Oh we've heard them all by now, Don. I love the "Ohio/Michigan" jokes.
What's the difference between Bigfoot and a Michigan girl? One is big, hairy, ugly and smells bad. The other has big feet.
Why did they install astroturf where Michigan plays? It cuts down on the cheerleaders grazing at halftime.
We know them all. :-)
But yes, Jane was an icon here and a warm and wonderful person. She lived a great life for 92 years. I can only DREAM about hanging on for 92 years. And she was alert and vibrant with very little memory loss. She was in assisted living just because of the general amount of care someone at that age needs. The whole music community is bummed today.
