As you collect all these new guitars, you need to get with the program and give them a suitable home...lol Example below!

Wow! You got more guitars than many guitar shops!

I met a police officer, no I was not arrested, in Buffalo NY that collects guitars. He had 36 guitars!

A luthier friend of mine who owned a guitar shop has 50 guitars.

It must be very time consuming keeping them in tune and playable.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Think about the time and cost just to put new strings on them if you do it all at once.

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

My plan is to mount 2 horizontal furring strips to hold the hangers, paint the whole wall flat black, and hang them against the flat black wall. I only have 10. (Now...)

My plan is to keep my guitars in the hard case and to release the string tension some.

One Anderson sets beside me 24/7.

Ten guitars are really not a lot of guitars to own, to begin with. I have seven or eight here. Two or three get played and the rest set in the case 98% of the time. But...when I want a Telecaster I want a Telecaster.

I have 3 guitars. One electric for gigging, another similar one for a backup, and an archtop acoustic/electric for when I don't want to plug a guitar in to practice or learn a new song.

Two tenor saxophones.

Two no longer in production wind controllers.

And so on.

I am not a collector. The way I see it, there is wrong with collectors or collections, it's just not for me.

I gig with my instruments, they are simply tools to get the music I want to produce from me to the audience.

Since I make my living doing music and nothing but music, each new purchase means a cut in pay. If it leads to more pay in the future, it's an investment, if it is just to look pretty and doesn't pay for itself, it is income money lost.

By the time I'm done with an instrument, it's usually quite worn. When I buy a new one, I sell the old if it is worth the trouble, if not, I just donate it to a music student. I've given away a few guitars and saxes in my time on the planet. I admit, it's a selfish act, as it makes me feel good to help a young musician.

Now PianoBilly, I see one thing wrong with that 'wall of sound' you posted. There are no saxophones hanging on the wall. That's "speciesistic" if you ask me laugh

So he is a rabid antisaxite?

I have a number of guitars but I use them all. Each has a unique sound. I am a bottom feeder so none of my guitars are very expensive, regardless of what my wife says!

I have a tele, strat, electric and acoustic 12 strings, two jazz boxes (one with wound strings and the other flat wound strings), a fretless bass, a freted P-bass, a nylon string, and a couple of acoustics. If you have been listening to my music for some time you have heard all of these guitars.

IMHO any instrument is meant to be played and not just collected. YMMV

Yeah, I only have 9 guitars and it's time consuming just keeping the strings relatively fresh! Sure, 90% of that time is spent trying to re-string the one with the Floyd Rose, but still...

Nah, just a bad case of GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome.
