This was a fun project! I decided to look at styles, in BIAB, I had never noticed before to see how they sounded.
I just typed in a blues progression with a twist on the turnaround to see what it would give me.
It's got a lot of midi editing to get what I wanted.
Kind of a cross between "The Chicken" and "Sissy Strut", so I called it "Duck Strut". (seemed to fit...)

Sounds mighty good to me. The beat is really good. What style did you start out with (or is this so far from the original that it doesn't matter -- ha, ha).

I liked that a lot -- good sax playing, too. Is that a wind-midi instrument?

The style is "funkafy".
The saxes are VL70m - MBrecker & NYAlto played on the Synthophone.

Hi Mick,

Great choice of percussion - it is so cool with the rest of the arrangement.

Can I say I'm looking forward to hearing another one of yours that makes me want to get up and slow dance - well, I guess I said it.

I love that style and usually use the ol Fender Rhodes emulation patch for the pianer part in Biab. It has that nice Bluesy hook goin on.

I liked your mix and loved your Sax chops. Tasty !! :P

Hi Mick,

S E N S A T I O N A L !!!!

As I listened the following thoughts successively exploded in my head; "Wow! Cool as! This is funky. Love that total break in all voices. This defines 'professional' on EVERY level." Then I just sat back and listened, tapped my foot and was totally caught up in your performance, arrangement and mix. To my mind, this is music at it's best.

All the best,
Noel
