Hello all,

"I'll Get Us Through"
"When It Snows"

Song Page, Blueslogic

I haven't posted anything in a very long time. These are 2 songs I just found on a cassette that I transfered from a boombox as best as I could. I did what I could just with EQ.

They are both from the early 1990s. Strange memories listening to them now. They're so many lives ago.
I hope you'll give them a listen and enjoy. I haven't had anything to share in a very long time. They are very different than my Blues material.

I sang all the vocals and played the acoustic guitars. The rest is BIAB and a Sound Canvas Module. I can't remix anything. I'm just happy to have them again. The lyrics are there if you click on "full song info".

Thanks for your time, Wayne,

You did a good job on transfering the songs to digital. I think the music and vocal is very good. It's amazing what you can do with just 4 tracks. I used to have a 4 track portastudio. I upgraded to an 8 track portastudio. Now I use a computer with BIAB and Realband. occ

Hi OCC,

Thank you so much. I just have a boombox to play cassettes. I used the headphone out into my PC and it turned out better than I expected. I should have set up my mixer, but I was so excited finding this tape, I couldn't wait.
The songs are so old, I can't believe my voice. I sound like a kid to me.

I use my PC as well. (BIAB/PTPA12) I have a small Alesis mixer and one decent microphone. It's all I need anyway. I still use only 4 tracks.

I just went to your SoundClick page. I listened to the first song with your daughter. I loved it. I'll be listening to a lot more. Well done. Great style and the content is right up my alley.

Hey Wayne,

Well I love your voice. Actually you could've been singing the phone book and I wouldn't have cared.

I enjoyed both songs very much. I'm so glad you found them and thank you for sharing them with us.

As Bob said what a really nice transfer from tape.

Bob, Mario and Josie,

Thank you so much. These are some songs I just found after losing all my music in a flood 5 years ago. I was amazed at the quality of the recording. They're very old and I only have a boombox to play them on.

I recorded into PowerTracks and I just used some EQ, that was all it needed. Everything else made it sound worse.

I'm glad you liked them. Most of my songs are acoustic, country and folk. I'm happy I have something to show that now.

As far as my voice, "singing the phone book" how did you know? lol Wow that's high praise. I don't know what to say except, thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I forgot I played some slide.
My wife says I sound better now. Well I guess she has to say that, we'll see.

Sincerely, Wayne

Wayne,

Really good job on these songs! I agree with Josie, you have a great voice. And this is really good quality, especially considering it was transferred from a cassette! I listened to several songs from your Soundclick page, and really enjoyed them all. Keep up the good work!

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for listening. I'm so glad you enjoyed my songs. So many comments on my voice, I'm speechless, well almost......lol. I always thought my wife loved my singing because she had to.

I am going to keep trying to get back to playing. I had a good period for a short time. I'm waiting for another. My voice has changed, first because it's been 18-19 years and also I lost my voice for about a year after an accident. My vocal cords were injured while inflating my lungs. They had to stick something down my throat in the ambulance. I couldn't speak for about a year and when it started to come back it was just a rasp. But it's all back now. It’s a rougher and a lot shakier. My wife says it’s better now. She says it has more character. Go figure. lol.

Again, thanks for taking the time to listen and to comment. It means a lot.

Anyone ever hear of "AMAdea Records"?
I went to the website and found 2 people I know right off the bat using their services.
Just wondering, since "amadeamusic" posted a comment here.
I haven't heard back from my friend yet about them. He sells his music all over the place. Maybe this is how he does it.
Wayne,

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
