I've only owned the software a few days so still not got mixing quite right in BIAB. This is my first proper recording from it anyway. I normally sing this song with my 12 string and my harmonica, so it was really exciting to get some real country backing playing on it

Anyway, the mixdown was put onto my iphone then the vocals I recorded over with VocaLive.

Thanks for listening and hope you enjoy it.

Isn't it wonderful to have such a great backing band?

FWIW - I like your song. You have a nice 'husky', country voice. (I mean that in a GOOD way). And, you put a lot of emotion into your singing.

All good - thanks for sharing!

FWIW? Well to me it's worth a lot! Thank you for taking time to listen and I'm glad you liked it.

I've listened to a lot of the songs being put out on here, and there is some really great music going on.

Yes, it's great to have BIAB for this. There is a real shortage of country musicians in Manchester, UK!!

Thank you

Fantastic! I love the vocals. Sounds like a song Waylon Jennings would have done. Great use of BIAB too. I like this.

Wow. Thank You very much and I'm glad you enjoyed it. In truth, I never expected a song of mine to be put in the same sentence as a great like Waylon Jennings, but as it won't happen all too often, I'm keeping it!

This is one hell of a good song for your first proper recording!

The mix sounds good to me. You do have a good country voice.

Regardless of what genre you play/sing BiaB is the perfect backing band.

Two thumbs up!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thank you, I glad you liked the song. BiaB is a God send in many ways because you don't really get many country musicians in England, well, in the North West of the country anyway.

The voice is getting there, though probably not ever be a Dwight Yoakam or Kenny Chesney ( my accent won't allow it !! ) but I've been listening to a lot of peoples work on here so it's a real boon to have this forum.

Hi Greg,

Really nice first song post using BIAB. I love the emotion in your vocal - many people can sing a tune and lyrics but singing the emotion - that's the magic.

Enjoyed it.

Thanks Sundance. Actually, like most people recording at home. It's pretty hard to record, because there are always kids running in and out, and a wife with a to-do list as long as my arm :-O

Thanks Tommy and Yeah, I'm Lovin' it at the moment. It's even great just for putting a few chords on, to play along with my harmonica :-)

KILLER song! And the fact that you've only had the software for a few days is a great testimony to the capability of the program! You'd never come up with this after only a few days with any other music software.

Your control, confidence and general delivery are much more polished than I'd expect from a first offering with new software... which prompts me to ask if you are a performing musician?

Pat. Thank you indeed! And I'm glad you liked the song. The application is brilliant. I'm still feeling the burn in my pocket. But I feel it's been worth every penny. Yes I do and have performed both on my own ( and with bands in my younger days ). These days I just use a 12 string, ukulele and a harmonica. Both the songs I did with BIAB I normally just do acoustic. I'm trying to get a few country musicians together, but it's not easy to do here in Manchester UK, not sure why though So anyone in the North West of England, wanting to put a country set together originals and covers, let me know!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
