Hi folks,

Its freaky song time!

Here is a little song just finished called
End of the world/Day of judgement.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cpAYX20z6E

or soundcloud link
https://soundcloud.com/#donegaljoe57/end-of-the-world-1

All midi style imported into Realband.
Used a voice changer plugin called Steinberg voice processor.
Guitar riff played by me.

Probably not everybodies cup of tea but I finallly got it done after been around a good few years in my head.

I really liked this...I was trying to figure out what genre/style this would be! That it is pretty unclassifiable I think is a real plus...Your arrangement kept me real interested throughout. And you got your point across perfectly. I liked the vocal effect.

(I couldn't get the soundcloud to work properly)

Hi Tano,

Glad you liked it. Its actually a jammer pro style all midi style imported into realband.
Biab is always my first call, but this time didn't get a style that I liked for this song so had jammer 6 and got this style there. Took a little longer to get together in jammer but seems to work ok.

Soundcloud seems to be working ok at my end.

Thanks

Musiclover - agree with Tano. Very interesting - and an enjoyable listen. Nice guitar lick that fits perfectly. Was expecting there to be "some chaos" at the end...
Great job. (soundcloud worked for me...)

Clever track. It's always nice to see something imaginative and different on the forum.

Reminded me slightly of "Star Trekkin" by The Firm and look how well that did!

Thanks a lot Floyd and Rog, glad you enjoyed the listen.
Makes a bit of a change from the simple country stuff I usually do.

This is really good! Loved the backing track and your guitar work. Your vocals were spot on, as were the vocal effects, but I wish they were a little more up front. At times it was hard to understand the lyrics.

But this still is a great song!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanks Danny and Mario, glad you enjoyed it.

I understand what you are saying Mario about the vocals in the chorus, a bit on the low side, thanks for the feedback on that.

Hi, Musiclover:

Enjoyed your production, very catchy, innovative, very musical. I listened all the way through, twice, which I don't ordinarily do.

Dramatic visuals, too -- where did they come from? I looked for a download site for the Steinberg plugin, but couldn't find it.

One comment... I hope this is a spoof, and not a statement of your philosophic, historical, prophetic, religious beliefs and convictions. If so, well....

Thanks Brallan,

Naw its not meant to be taken that seriously though was a little nervous posting it as anything to do with religion or beliefs can get things a bit heated.

Google images, should really get permission but I dont think anyone is going to sue me as no money involved. Its a realy old plugin but lots of other stuff will give the same vocal effect.

if any meaning atall is to be taken from it, its that a lot of people in the world have no need to wait for any day of judgement, they are living an awful hell here now in fear of death etc.

just a song-no intentional things intended.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
