Kevin -
LOVED "Wednesday Night at the Square"!! You need to spend some serious time on that one - you could get those tracks where you want them and make that a BIG song. It's got "fun" written all over it. Maybe get LOTS of people singing those "whoa's" and "lala's"... (the crowd at the bar thing...). I think it's cool...

Hi Kevin,
I agree with Floyd. Wednesday Night At The Square is one heck of an early draft for a potentially brilliant song. I hope you find time down the line to work on this one. I'd love to hear it.
All the best, Noel

Floyd and Noel: Thanks for checking out those tunes. I have had success on a couple of other big sing along tunes, I might have to try that here. I have been remiss in doing any listening here (FAWM and all that, ya know), but hopefully I can get a little commenting in this week. 4.) Descent (a non-BIAB instrumental with voices and guitars song) ******************************************************************* 5.) Don't Keep Me Waiting: A western swing song -- I don't know if I had done one of these before. This was a skirmish title (write and record in a hour). I did the first cut in 45 minutes or so, but then I went back and took a couple of hours to put the BIAB version together. No Second Chances (a non-BIAB guitar/vocal tune -- another skirmish!) ******************************************************************* 7.) Indian Trance: I went looking for something different and loaded the demo for this style. I just used that and added a couple of electric guitars. Key=C , Tempo 190, Length (m:s)=1:33 Style is CHAKRA1.STY (Chakra1 - 6/8 Indian Raga New Ag) Style MIDI Instruments are : Synth Strings 1 (51), Marimba (13), Kalimba (109), Sitar (105), MIDI Drums :1 Standard Drum Kit (1) *******************************************************************

I like Indian Trance. That's really something different. And you fitted your guitar in well.

Thanks for the listens, fellow FAWMers (and non-fawmers, too!). I finally wrote the 2nd verse for Song # 6, No Second Chances (a skirmish tune). I also re-recorded it and while it is OK, I lost a little bit when I recorded everything separately. Instead of re-doing it, I added a BIAB cello and fiddle (ha, ha). I really wanted to use that cello somewhere anyway! 6.) No Second ChancesRealTracks in song: 1856:Cello, Background PopCountry Ev 085 RealTracks in song: ~409:Fiddle, Background George Ev 085

Hi Kevin I listened to "Wednesday Night at the Square" and "Don't Keep Me Waiting". Gonna try and make some time to listen to them all. Really liked "Don't Keep Me Waiting"...time for a smoke...if only I still had that luxury!. Keep it up

Kevin,
No Second Chances came out nicely. I like Connection a lot. Great "overall sound" (you do that so well) on that. And a cool lyric. Collision Course is my favorite. Terrific song.
On all of these, your playing is so nice. Really "makes" the song. You get an amazing recorded sound with your acoustic guitars! And it all fits together so well...

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
