This is a patriotic song that I wrote a little over a month ago (10-20-13). It was inspired by the things that took place during the U.S. government shut down in September.

I recorded and mixed all tracks direct on Real Band. I played all parts myself, no Real Tracks or other RB effects, all effects are from outboard pedals.

I did the mix myself and it was mastered by a friend who has a local full blown studio.

I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to share it if you wish...

So..... where exactly do you stand on that topic? (wink wink)

Nice job.... I'm in complete agreement on the issues raised in the song.

Good job on the tune, the writing and the video.

Thanks Scott. I've listened to a couple of your tunes also, very nice. I followed you on SoundCloud so I can go back and listen to more....

I also have a SoundCloud account if you want to check it out. Other than the Flag Flyin' High most of the original songs there are still works in progress. Flag is the only one I've 'mastered' so far. I'm primarily a country picker but I like all kinds of music (except rap and hip hop, lol).

I also have a couple YouTube channels, one of them is primarily cover songs and the other has several originals....

Originals:

Two of the songs on SoundCloud, BEATING AS ONE and GYPSY IN MY SOUL contain Real Tracks, both of those tunes are also set to video on my YouTube channel...

Thanks Guitarhacker, lol....

I'm a vet, patriot and also belong to Oath Keepers and PGR. This was my first shot at writing something like this.

See my reply to Scott for links to my YouTube and SoundCloud pages to hear more of my music...

I'm basically a country picker too, I like your WHERE DOES A COWBOY GO, good stuff bro....

Thanks Floyd. Actually that cowbell was a percussion pad setting on an Alesis SR16 drum machine.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
