Why Don't You Save Me

Hi all,

In my latest remix contest I processed two songs. This is the second one.
I only used vocals and drums from the original.
After playing the chords in 6/8 measure I had problems importing them into BiaB. So I changed the tempo and the measure to 3/4.
I used following RTs:
RT1192_ Bass, Electric, PopRockWaltz Ev 140
RT855_ Guitar, 12-String Acoustic, Rhythm RockWa
RT863_ Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopRockWaltzPulsi
866_ Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopRockWaltzSte
RT1168_Guitar, Electric, Soloist RockBalladBrent Ev 065 (Bluesy)
RT1209_Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm GypsyJazzBalladGonzalo Sw 11
Here is what came out:

I hope you enjoy.

Guenter,

Loved it!

I liked the original this time. But, again, your version has SO much more character!

And, as last time, you have made the vocal "center stage". It is a very dramatic vocal - and you show that off.

It has a "big 70's show rock" feel and sound. A cross between Zeppelin and Heart...

Great use of RTs. Excellent mix. You are a Pro.

A terrific listen.

Very cool Guenter!! Yours brought forth the spirit of the original but with a vibe all its own. Like last time, I like yours better, although both were great. Really amazing work! Take care. Greg

Hi Floyd,

thanks a lot.
Yes, the original is great. I was discouraged first. But then just tried to find a version of my own.

Like has been said the original was good but, man,
you just set the vocal on fire and the RT's and mix
are spectacular.

This is a tremendous example of the power of
RealTracks and talent.

Hi Guenter,

A very good remix, it has so much power and the vocal is more important in your remix than in the original.
Hope you win!

Hi Guenter,

What an amazing, amazing sound is coming out of my speakers right now as I'm listening to this remix. I cannot, for the life of me, believe that what I'm hearing are Band In A Box's Realtracks. Your ability to arrange and to mix is outstanding, incredible. A phrase that springs to mind is "sonic engineer extraordinaire".

I'm curious, do you use the audiophile edition of BIAB/RB?

All the best,
Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
