Come Home My Baby

Copy write by Robert Stanley

Come Home My Baby.

Come home my baby where you belong.
Come home my baby you been gone to long.
I'll be waiting at the door to let you in.

I been crying from late till dawn.
I been grieving and my heart mourns.
I'll be waiting at the door to let you in.

Bridge.

Since you went away my proud heart has crumbled.
Since you went away Ive done nothing at all but stumble through the night.

Return to me my baby I want you by my side.
Return to me my baby my arma are open wide.
I'll be waiting at the door to let you in.

Come home my baby where you belong.
Come home my baby you been gone to long.
I'll be waiting at the door to let you in.

Bridge.

Since you went away my proud heart has crumbled.
Since you went away Ive done nothing at all but stumble through the dark.

Fill

Since you went away my proud heart has crumbled.
Since you went away Ive done nothing at all but stumble through the dark.

Hi Rob. I enjoyed my listen and you've nailed the late 50's/60's genre of classic country again. I wasn't able to name a specific song this reminded me of but will post if something comes to mind. I will be listening to this again.

One observation. The key you've chosen seems to almost be too low on this particular song for your lead vocal in spots.

Good write and production.

Rob,

You have certainly got the 50/60's feel sorted!

Nice backing vocals.

Sounds like the last song at the hop, slow dancing with an unsuspecting young lady grin

Very nice! A little Elvis country feel to this one. Good job!

Hello Rob,

As said in a previous reply, You've got a wonderful voice that reminds me of Elvis !
Your song is a 1950s ballad, isn't it ? it's very pleasant

Have a nice day

What a cool song/mix/production. At first I didn't like the piano riff at the harmony section, 'Let you in, let you in.' I wanted it to be after the lyrics, but maybe that first one just surprised me....

The vocals/harmonies are stellar!

Really beautiful song, performed beautifully as well:)

Perfect Alyn!

And as a guy who graduated from high school in 1963 I particularly
get this whole feel and groove. Put a ton of echo on the vocal and it would be
nailed for that period (not that you should -- it sounds great).

You own this feel Rob. It is a perfect presentation of it. Everything works.

Great listen!

Hi Rob,

The vocals are very well done, so is the pedal steel.
The drums and strumming guitar (especially the drums) sound more like midi than RT.
Did you use any FX or something?

As a guy who graduated from high school in 1964 I also get feel and grove. If you had left out that pedal steel and put a little echo on the vocal I would have sworn that it was a song from the late 50's.

This is a super song!

The King Lives!! Did Elvis really die in the 70's or fake his own death and move to Australia? As great as your vocals usually are, this is the best I've heard. What kind of mic and pre are you using? Great mix. Whole production is top notch! Take care. Greg

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
