I wasn't able to name a specific song this reminded me of but will post if something comes to mind. I will be listening to this again. One observation. The key you've chosen seems to almost be too low on this particular song for your lead vocal in spots. Good write and production. I wanted it to be after the lyrics, but maybe that first one just surprised me.... The vocals/harmonies are stellar! The drums and strumming guitar (especially the drums) sound more like midi than RT. Did you use any FX or something? If you had left out that pedal steel and put a little echo on the vocal I would have sworn that it was a song from the late 50's. This is a super song!
