Love it, great song, well sung, everything sitting where its supposed to be a perfect production all round.

great video too, I notice that comments are disabled though one could only have good things to say about this production.

Well done to everyone involved.

Hi Janice & Bud (and Floyd),

fun and fresh. I remember the original.
Very nicely arranged. I like the fiddle.
Janice lively as always and good support
by Floyd. (Where is he by the way?)
Bud did a great job on the video.
I enjoyed it a lot.

Unlike the title, I'd say this is "Fun Central"!! Really well put together. Clean, tight, and creative writing and production. Vocals are great (Janice and FJ nailed it). From the credits, it looks like it was painstaking (lots of instruments, and multiple generations) but the result was worth it-not a note out of place. Great job!! Take care. Greg

Hi Janice, Bud and Floyd,

We never heard the first version, so we cannot compare.
We can only say this though: another solid production, nice video!
The colors fit the mood of the song.
Well sung Janice and the same goes for floyd.

Thanks Greg! It was a bit tedious but I really wanted the solos to transition well into the vocal. Even more tedious was finding public domain images that seemed to fit the lyric. All in all....tedious but counterintuitively also fun.

Janice, Bud and floyd,

What can I say??
Wonderfully clear mix; the usual incredible vocals from Janice and then floyd's harmony lines!!

Good video!

I gave the neighbours this song to listen to this morning, LOUD! and no complaints yet so they must like it too LOL

excellent all round

Cool tune..... I think I recall this. It's always fun to revamp some of the old stuff after you have learned a few new things about this hobby. I'm always tempted to do that on some as I listen to the stuff I have done years ago......

Nice job on the re-do.

One of my favorites of yours so far. Everything in place and a superb mix. A little bluesy and a bit of western swing vibe together in a great production, arrangement and performance.

I had a lot of fun listening to this one and will certainly be going back for more.

Hello Janice and Bud,

The good old country !
Who has played the guitar solo ? is it a Real track ?

It reminds me of a very good movie about country, Nashville Blues, with River Phoenix
bravo for the video

Hey y'all, nice that you liked it and thanks for commenting on the video. It get a bit tedious trying to find public domain images that fit the lyric and are large enough to be cropped to 16:9. That's the reason I didn't use more smile

Thanks Herb. Man, I can listen to something I did 3 months ago and want to redo it. But I'm still on the steep side of the learning curve. Glad you liked it.

Everything that I wanted to say already has been said.

Like I have said a number of times you guys should be on the radio! What you, Floyd and a number of others do is definitely much better than what is on the radio today ---period.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Thanks again, guys, for letting me be a small part of this.

I like it more every time I hear it. Some very cool lines in the writing. The new mix is great.

Janice "She Could Sing The Phonebook" Merritt doing her usual. smile

Bud showing his new-found talent for lyric videos. Exceptional. Really.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
