Ever been in a modern mega chicken pen? A new song about a chicken farmer who sees the Light and becomes an Organic Vegetarian, started accidentally with an old BIAB tarantella stye, but had to be overhauled and mega edited in Cubase:

lyrics: - Chicken Farmer - © Artspurg 2016 SABAM

Once a chicken farmer, came home from Sunday church
For a while he rested, seated on his perch
His mind set on religion, he saw the clouds up high
Then he had a vision: ghost chickens in the sky
--- ghost chickens in the sky

Their eyes were red and fiery, and beaks were black as coal
Flesh and feathers burned away, the devil took a toll
Diving down to grab his soul, vengeance was their holy goal
No mercy nor compassion; it's time to rock and roll
-- time to rock and roll

In a hail of rotten eggs, and a stench that takes the day
Claws digging for flesh and bone, his fate was to be prey
Freaking out and full of fear, he tried to run away
Alas he found no shelter, and it was too late to pray
-- just too late to pray

In chicken purgatory, they put him on a spit
Roasted him for quite a while, above the fiery pit
Served him hot and crispy, with butter, beans and fries
"I must change my business", he came to realize
-- he came to realize

Then he woke up suddenly, his shirt all soaked in sweat
Became a vegetarian, his soul full of regret
Free-range for the chickens, the rooster cries hurray
When it comes to farming: organic is the way
-- organic is the way, organic makes the day, the rooster cries hurray, .....

(A remark for the so called "professionals" in the music business, in this case Chappell Music Publishing, in this case Chappell Music Publishing in London; "Johnny comes marching Home" is MUCH older LoL).
