It's been a crazy couple of months since I have been able to check in here! I plan on getting caught up with listening to some of the great songs I know I've been missing over the next few days. Just wrote this one. All the instruments are RT's/RD's. The female "oooh's" are East/West samples, and the rest of the vocals are me (cheap labor). Hope you enjoy it... Oh, No (He's In Trouble) Oh, No (He's In Trouble)© Stephen W. YoungHe was prone to wander. Not the settling kind Had it all together. Just looking for a good time He saw her in the corner She was the prettiest thing he'd seen Then he made a fatal mistake When he asked her "what's your name" Oh, no, he's in trouble. He better get out of here She's about to set her trap for him. That's very clear She'll have him bringing her flowers, and shopping for hours And watching the romance films Oh, no, he's in trouble. But I'm afraid it's too late for him I was hanging around one night. The band just finished a set I saw her sitting there alone, and said "I don't think we've met" She looked at me and blinked her eyes And said the sweetest thing And before I knew it I was looking for a ring Oh, no, I'm in trouble. Don't want to get out of here She set her trap for me. That's very clear She's got me bringing her flowers, and shopping for hours And watching the romance movies Oh, no, I'm in trouble. And I know it's too late for me Now there's nothing more persuasive Than a woman with a made up mind You can try to resist her It's just a matter of time Oh, no, he's in trouble. He better get out of here She's about to set her trap for him. That's very clear She'll have him bringing her flowers, and shopping for hours And watching the romance films Oh, no, he's in trouble. But I'm afraid it's too late for him Oh, no, I'm in trouble. Don't want to get out of here She set her trap for me. That's very clear She's got me bringing her flowers, and shopping for hours And watching the romance movies Oh, no, I'm in trouble. And I know it's too late for me --- RealTracks/Realdrums... Hi Steve,
Totally loved it! That intro is a real attention grabber - especially the drum. Great country sound. This is really good stuff, Steve. How about a little more of ot soon?
Loved that bridge ... a perfect fit. I only use a bridge when absolutely necessary and think you nailed it. Great song and performance!

What a tune, Stephen! This one caught my ear right from the first second, all the way through to the end. It is wonderfully catchy, and the arrangement is seriously on point! Thanks so much for sharing

Nice write, Steve. Terrific commercial sound to this.
Excellent BAND. Excellent mix. Excellent vocals. All hallmarks of your work - always...
You always open my eyes to RTs I haven't used before - that bass on this one... (stealing that, for sure...)
Great listen. I could hear Lyle Lovett doing this...

What a great choice of RT's. We were immediately grabbed by how cohesive the "band" sounded. BiaB and talent are indeed formidable.
It's a great catchy write that makes you want to immediately listen again. And the vocal performance is a wonderful complement to the melody.
And you wrapped it all up in a, in our opinion, perfect production for the song. Your vocal is out front and it well deserves that position. Nice.
Enjoyed it and will continue to do so.

I'm so glad to hear you on here - I was concerned about you during hurricane Harvey.

Steve,
you may know the album "next big thing" by Vince Gill. There's one song in particular that this song reminds me of, what was it again... Oh, I remember: she never makes me cry (or something). Anyway, you get the idea.
Cool!

Hello, Steve
Very nice intro! Very catchy! Very splendid and pleasant vocal! It reminds me of Presley or some pop singer who played an active part in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The mixing is really wonderful. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Kenny Thanks so much, Kenny! I was a fan of JJ Cale's music, and I've always thought Don Williams had one of the great Country voices. Two very influential talents. I appreciate your very kind words, and consider them a very high compliment. Steve

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
