The Final Frontier

You are on a spaceship exploring the new frontier. You are on the night shift, as it is called on earth, and all alone and in control of the ship. Suddenly you get an eerie feeling that someone is watching.

BiaB style = VanGel1 - MOR Pop w/ev.16th Fee. The tempo is 45 BPM and the intricate chord structure is Am to Dm, over and over and over!

All tracks got the Presonus Pro EQ effect:

Drums - Kontakt Cinimatic Synthetic Drums. Each drum was on its own track with its own EQ. The crash cymbal also had waves CLA drum effect.

Bass - Kontakt - TX81Z-Lately bass. FX = Waves H-Comp.

Piano - Kontakt-Sparkling Angel Pad

Guitar - Kontakt - Ethereal Vox Pad

Strings - Kontakt-Far Side of the Moon Pad

Lead - me playing my MIDI keyboard controller into Kontakt-AVA-Jenny

FX - me playing my MIDI keyboard controller into Kontakt-Julian Sound - slipstream

I welcome all comments, good or bad.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Sounds like a forgotten section of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds - love the bass.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hey Mario ...

Love it! I play around with this kind of stuff all the time ... haven't posted any of it. I doubt any of it is a good as this, though. Although I'm not particularly fond of space movies, horror movies and the like, I almost always enjoy the soundtracks. Cool - eerie - all Mario.!

Very cool, Mario. I, too, like the bass (been looking for that kind of bass sound myself...).

So much interesting stuff happening to keep the ear engage. The Ethereal Vox Pad is really nice...

Well done. Good mix.

Spooky & other-worldly...
I can see myself watching a movie while this background music plays...
And hearing myself say...
"Unt Uah... Unt Uah... Don't you dare open that door!"

War of the worlds already mentioned , I go with that loved this as I do w.o.t.w.

To me you are doing some great stuff on the instrumental tracks posted on the forum,

And I listen to them and I never miss/think their should be vocals in them.

That's a compliment

Thanks.

Wow - you did a tremendous job here! Definitely reminds me of some Tangerine Dream or Brian Eno. I love how vibrant it is, and all the subtle little effects scattered throughout. It sets a perfect mood, and is really captivating to hear.

Thanks for sharing smile

Mario,
Really cool hypnotic tune! Reminds me of Michael Cretu, Enigma years.
Comments...bad... absolutely none smile
P.S. If you find a female vocalist who can do some accents on this, I think it would be even more interesting.
Enjoyed it much.

Thank you for sharing!

I'm a big fan of you, Mario!

What an outstanding tune this is... yes, maybe it has inspiration from early Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream or Jean-Michael Jarre... in my world that is just a sign of you making good choices when it comes to inspiration... and your track is unique anyway... really, really enjoyed listening to it!

Probably the upload of the month!

Thanks for sharing!

Wow!

We are always amazed to often read about your number of tracks and then realize when listening how coherent and nicely textured everything works together.

We couldn't produce anything like this (even if we could play the tracks) in a zillion years but we can certainly fathom the effort that went into it.

Nicely composed and performed...and we like space movies!

Torrey is right on!! You are the master of these textural instrumentals!!! And, love your desciption, setting the stage. Are the pads 3rd party that play in Kontakt or something from Komplete or something? Beautifully done Mario!!! Take care. Greg

Great work on this Mario, great work on this! Excellent mixdown on all of this and the chord progression is very nice. Adding the strings and other kontakt instruments to this sounds great!

Mario,

You`ve absorbed the space vibe and used your layered effects tastefully over that nice fat bass.
Very cinematic. One of your best I think.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
