Hi Folks. This was one of the first tunes I made using some of BIAB tracks. Unfortunately, I lost the raw project & stems, so not sure what exactly was used to make it. A talented friend Lisa joined me on this to record vocals. All critical comments are welcome, except for the mix as I do not have separate tracks. Thank you for listening! Ode To A Lost Sock Or Kitty Blues Woke up as zombie in the morgue alarm is going wild said hi to toilet, brushed my teeth and tried to find my mind I think I lost it oh my god I glanced at single sock I scorched the hamper and the floor But I was out of luck It made me mad, it furried me What monster ate my stuff I yelled at picture on the wall but it was cold and muff I made my goal, predestined win to find stolen loot The orange cat slept on the bed all cuddly, neat and cute Like shirtless spartan I galloped without all armored horse to find vicious Athenians the ones who stole my clothes My rage had boiled beneath my skin Ohhh lonely hostage sock my glands had pumped adrenalin The time was 6 o clock It came to me that maybe thieves Were nooks of pharaoh Tut And bandaged treasured cotton sock embalmed in mummy gut Those riddles like a swarm of bees Were buzzing in my head Meanwhile orange fluffy cat Still slept upon my bed. I sat all sad beside feline Contagiously brute Cant walk the streets like vagabond With smile and barefoot Like Rodin thinker I (sat)held still Each second felt like year My stomach growled in hope for meal My hunger was severe. I took the poor orphan sock and tossed it out the door Enough of this! its time to eat! One problem to ignore The pussy opened lazy eyes And followed me to dine The sock was under his mua Still warmish and divine

Lot of fun. I liked your arrangement a lot. Your vocal was really good here. The subject is one that I can relate to as I am the king of having only one sock.
This is a really fun song.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Misha, I needed a crazy cat to straighten me out and yours is the real meow! Too many funny lines to quote -great wacky vocal energy to match the subject and a kindred spirit in Lisa to keep pace with very good ad libs. Thank you for sharing this and saving me from turning into that Rodin thinker!

Funny and brilliant! Man, Lisa is the cat's meow! Great voice, hopefully we will get to hear her again. Just what I needed to listen to during my first coffee of the day

Hi Misha,
Cool, funny, and just a bit surreal.
Very inventive and cleverly done.
It's why I only buy black socks.

More of your lyrical brilliance!
Absolutely clever and hilarious. I am now suffering from chortlitis.
What goes on in that head of yours?

Hi Misha,
Is this the cat song you want to use for the Cat song forum on BiaB that we need to establish? Along with my cat songs (and other cat lovers or haters)? Then this one is brilliant! I could picturized everything you sang about, especially the sock and the anger...! What a funny story cat-behaviour can lead to.
Marvelously done, Misha!

Fun!
We're convinced socks dissolve in the wash...
Hilarious and a very cool ending to the lyric.
One is tempted to search for meanings initially but we just gave into enjoying the story!
One fun production filled with fine vocals and lyrics.
Nice mix as always.
Enjoyed it -- several times.

Ray, Thank you for listening and your feedback! --- Mario, "king of a one sock" - that well could be used for a band name Thank you for listening! --- Robert, Thank you for listening and fun comments!! Could be used as a line of witch spell: "I will turn you into Rodin's thinker" --- Dave, Thank you for listening and your comments! Lisa is great, I hope to lure her to participate in some other tunes --- Rog, Thank you for your support! black socks.. that'a a way out! --- Cliff, Thank you for listening! --- Ezekiel's Storm, Ha ha. Thank you for listening and fun feedback! --- Hans, Yes this is the one for Cat song forum Would be interesting to hear a cat hater tune...got to be a death metal tune or close to that. Thank you for listening and your feedback! --- Scott, Thank you for listening and your kind comments! --- J&B, dissolving...We will never find out for sure. It might also be a gnome that lives behind the washer that has a pretty wild collection by now. I had a cat that stole socks from time to time, hiding them in strange places. She probably thought they were kittens... Thank you for listening and your feedback! Misha.

Stunningly good.
Every aspect of this is worth noting.
The vocals (both of you) are excellent. Clear, crisp, with warmth. Well recorded and processed.
The instruments are excellent. (Too bad the details are lost).
The arrangement and the mix are excellent.
Original. Inventive. Entertaining. What more could one ask for?
Excellent.

During my life I have spend a fortune on socks, because they always magically somehow disappears - especially when using a washing machine. Great song, great performance from both of you! I laughed and loved it! Thanks for sharing, Will

More Lisa! This grabs ya by the funny bone and never lets go. Yet, take the vocals away (most of them) and it's a serious piece of theatrical music. Nicely done.

Funny, funny lyrics delivered just right. Lisa's contribution is priceless. Really got a kick out of this, a lot of work went into telling the story and it was time well spent. Not sure what a mua is, though. Very clever, do more like this!!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
