Hello rayc,

Hello Rayc,
What I like about you is that you try to break out of a classic chord series. The female voice fits well with the melody. It's pleasant.

Kindly regard,

Cool.

Very Grace-Slick-meets-Pink-Floyd.
Who is your vocalist? She deserves credit...

Solo is nice.

Mix sounds really good. Vocal sits in just right.

An excellent listen.

Thanks JaniJackFlash,
I've been experimenting with keys that actually fit my limited, (3 note), vocals and that move has forced me to play with new chords as you hear.
Yes, Trudy's vocal seems to work well. Still some tweaking to do but I'm getting there.

Thanks fj,
Trudy had a different, more aggressive, take on the choruses that was VERY GS. It didn't really suit the song so I cut n pasted that take into the 2nd half of the choruses for dynamics.
Yes Eric Drabwell, my original collaborator from 1976, did a nice job on the guitar.
THANKS for the assistance.

Yeah! This works.

Loved the guitar intro, interesting guitar work throughout actually, and man, she can sing!

Good stuff, Ray, sounds great.

Ray,
The new vocal reveals more dynamics in the song; Trudy sings with energy and nuance.
Highly original, dramatic rock with a very cool arrangement.

Also getting the Grace Slick vibe on the vocal, very nice. Interesting throughout, nice guitar work, arrangement and production.

Some good classic rock.

Ray,
Yeah, this took very interesting turn. Amorphous in places, yet holds shape nicely. Definitely more complete. Trudy did the job right! Listens very well. The only thing that I thought I would mention is I think vocals might need a different type of treatment. The oohs and string has a a "large" hall type of reverb, but vocals are more like "live" club mix, "hitting the walls" a little. Regardless of my blathering, you did good. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Thanks Misha,
I was a little perplexed by the reverb. It's the same on both but I think there's some "room" in Trudy's recording that places it elsewhere. I'll try to tweak that.

Thanks BA,
Eric did the intro & solo for me...two tones on the intro and the 2nd tone repeated on the solo.
Trudy can belt them.

Thanks Robert. She lifted it from bedroom gloom to something more soulful.

She sounds great!
Listening on headset, she sounds a little too wet.
I'd like to hear the lyrics a little more clearly.
A well constructed song.

We must have missed the last update...went to find it but not available.

Everything works very well for us ... audio and video.

A Grace Slick feel indeed! I never felt that irrespective of her stardom she got the credit she deserved for vocal chops. As a fan of all her iterations it's very easy to fall into this production.

Stadium epic in our book.

ALL sounds good to us on the KRK's and we will stream it to the "big system" this evening.

Kudos to ALL involved.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
