30 Years Ago When I Was 40

I lost my mother in the first part of September in 2020. Just one more thing to happen in a year already so frustrating. As we gathered with family and friends it really struck me how fast my life has passed. I decided to write a song and make a video of the key points of my life. Even though this song is about me, I think we can all relate to the fact that the years do pass quickly and we should make the most of every day we are given. I am really thankful for all of my family and friends.

Other than the guitar solo at the intro and breaks all the music tracks were created in BIAB and finished in Studio One.
The style I used for this song was _ROMANCE.STY. I used the following RealTracks:
Bass=1036 String Quartet=2335 RealDrums=NashvillePop 16 Guitar 1=1595 AC Fingerpick Guitar 2=2051 AC Fingerpick Piano=1728

WOW what an excellent write! The vocals were fantastic, as was the mix and video. But the lyrics took it over the top for me. Super writing. Plus I can relate to the age thing. I wouldn't change a thing to this song or my live.

Outstanding song.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

That was nice.

Funny how age brings reflection.
We all hope, that in some small way, our contribution has been a positive one.

Well done.

Love the concept of this concept.....really clever angle for a philosophical write like this!! Always love songs that make one think! I lost my mom a few years ago, and my dad a few years before that.....nothing can prepare a person for that. Nice song!! Take care. Greg

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
