Hi All,

Here's something a bit different. This called STORY.

A passing glimpse in the city lights
Underneath the neon sky
Hard to see the look in her eyes
If she was looking at all
He reached for his phone to call
It rang her like a bell
One more night
One more story to tell

A beam of light from the midnight moon
Lights the dark but it’s gone too soon
Around the corner in another room
She sits waiting at the bar
And listens to an old guitar
As he heads out for the well
One more ride
One more story to tell

The sun is rising in the east
They talked about making peace
And the things they liked the least
How the time and years can drift
The simple moments that always slip
Down into the wishing well
One more dawn
One more story to tell

From a whisper to a shout
The days ahead are now in doubt
All the birds are flying south
The storm in rolling in
He watches her leave again
A failure to compel
One more glance
One more story to tell

The constant ticking of the clock
A cold platform is getting dark
An empty train is about to park
Plenty of room to spare
He wishes she was standing there
To undo this farewell
One more chance
One more story to tell

Some days the song writes you
Words and music all in view
They try to get a message through
Communication fades
Only the silence remains
Like a never ending spell
One more day
One more story to tell

I love it Bob! you paint such great pictures with your lyrics! I also like the way you don't overproduce your work with too much instrumentation which allows the vocal/lyric content take center stage! And speaking about vocals, this one is excellent! Glad to see you contributing on a regular basis! Take care, Torrey

With this song you set such a strong mood, and this was further enhanced by the vocals. Everything about this was superbly done. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us!

Bob,

Another well-written song (as expected). Loved how you changed to tag lines each verse.

Another solid production (as expected). Nice use of BIAB to get a "current" sound...

Another impassioned vocal (as expected).

Another good mix (as expected).

Really like this (as expected) smile

Bob, this is an outstanding song. Great vocal backed by an amazing band, everything is perfect. Loved the lyrics.

This is your best to date IMHO.

Two thumbs up.

"The simple moments that always slip
Down into the wishing well"

"Some days the song writes you
Words and music all in view"

Just two favs from so many great lines.
There's enough rhymes here to last most folks for many songs.

Beyond the fine write and vocal lies a really wonderful band.
The way you can use more "modern" tracks to get such a
broadly appealing Americana sound is most impressive.

Janice wanted to especially mention how well you used those
guitar fills.

Excellent!

You are a master storyteller and create such perfect music with which to tell them, Bob. Outstanding lyrics (as always). This song reminds me so much of another Bob who writes great story songs.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi rsdean,

Very intimate composition that commands attention from start to finish. Your very original voice captures the attention. And the very pleasant guitar solo. The sentimental atmosphere is very present. I appreciated.

Very good lyrics and performance! I like your choice for airy backing. "Different" in a good way. Easy listening. Enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
