Hi All, Here's something called FLYOVER. I'm crossing the highway Are you looking up Ceremonial flight Getting ready for the jump Can't see a place to land Or lock into your eyes Got to keep on going And make the next sunrise Just a flyover baby I'm riding on the air I'm living in the moment Flying through the atmosphere Five hundred miles an hour Circling the view Need a drop-zone baby Coming down to you It's the middle of the night In an April cold snap High above the trees Like a bird without a map But I'm heavy on the trail Can't tell you where I've been But I'm sorry like the rain And it's coming down again Just a flyover baby I'm riding on the air I'm living in the moment Flying through the atmosphere Five hundred miles an hour Circling the view Need a drop-zone baby Coming down to you The cities and the mountains A location in the hills I'm racing with the hawks Their voices loud and shrill Like a shadow on the moon Your a vision beyond reach Tower come in tower Ten thousand more feet Just a flyover baby I'm riding on the air I'm living in the moment Flying through the atmosphere Five hundred miles an hour Circling the view Need a drop-zone baby Coming down to you BIAB Tracks: 2474: Bass, Acoustic, Held Ev 085 1943: Synth, Rhythm, EuroDance Strings Ev 120 2267: Synth, BellPad, Rhythm 80sPopPads Ev 085 2448: Guitar, Electric PopDreamyBrent Ev 085 RealDrums: UrbanPop Ev GoodGirl 1 Kck1, b:Clap Beatbox Loop - Apple Loops As always - thanks for listening! Bob,
That's a cool sound you carved out there! It's a little different than your normal sounding type of track but it sounds great! It's still got great lyrical content which is what I always expect from you! I love it when forum members experiment and stretch the boundaries of their normal work! This one works well! Thanks, Torrey

That's a good package. The electric guitar breaks might be a bit loud 1.54 there's a "crack" at the beginning of the syllable - probably a combo of compressor and reverb accentuating the vocal. The ending was a bit abrupt but that's a small thing.

Bob, this is a cool song. Your vocal is strong and your instrumentation is really good.
I enjoyed my listen very much.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Well done, Bob. Start with really good lyrics and the song writes itself --at least when one is as creative as you are. The perfect band for this, too. Really enjoyable.

I'm imagining Bruce Springsteen performing this with a big stage production.
Nice write, I like it!

"Just a flyover baby I'm riding on the air I'm living in the moment Flying through the atmosphere Five hundred miles an hour Circling the view Need a drop-zone baby Coming down to you" That. Imagery. Man, when you can write like that you don't need a video. The listeners can easily create one in their imagination. Sounds liked you recruited a new band for this production. As occasional experimenters ourselves we know the fun of that! At times it's both disconcerting and liberating for us. And as per ALL your productions fine vocals and mix. J&B

interesting lyrics. i like the sorta whispery vocs. and the parts where the vocs are reinforced. etc i hear some vocal high screaming in this song maybe the coda //outtro ? ie emotion.. would suggest more variety in the beat perhaps ? best om

Cool song. My strongest comment would be just how well you are popping those syllables into that jagged beat. Vocals as part of the rhythm section, really lifted this into the atmosphere.
Great lyric. Didn't know whether to laugh, get mad, or blush. Cool.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
