I'm pretty much a country ballad writer but I love to venture out occasionally to other genres...I always wanted to be a rock singer (well haven't we all?)...well this is my best shot...as soon as I heard this style on BiaB I knew I had to write something with it...I think it fits real well with gospel and P&W ...so what do you think?...as usual I welcome all comments, suggestions and criticisms...if you do...thanks for listening...Dan (I Hear Your Voice) Calling Me https://soundclick.com/r/s829hqBiaB componets: 701 Bass 689 Organ 362 Acoustic guitar 2499 Baritone Electric guitar 2203 Electric Soloist Pop guitar I added vocals

Cool song with a good groove. I like those minor to major conversions in the chorus. I haven't heard a song in a long time that used that. Very cool.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Very nice, Dan. Wow, when that harmony came in for the chorus ---well, I heard you calling, and it was strong and inviting. Nice chord structure. I'd say your voice is too good to be a rock singer. It's always so uplifting.

Thanks..I like songs with this tempo range in all genres...I like the mood swings major to minor and minor to major chords produce...musically I'm stuck in the last century.

A good listen, Dan. (I think I'd still call this more Country than Rock..maybe Christian Country Rock...). Great tune! I agree with Floyd ... I rarely don't! But I do believe Christian Country Rock is a good fit for it. Those BG vocals on the vocal are super! Good chord progression, too. Thanks for a real nice listen! Wishing you the very best ... Alan

Hey Dan,
This is really cool.
Is it #1 on a soundclick chart? If so, congrats!
I see the upload date is 2018. Is this a new version?
Either way it sounds great. Just curious.

Beautiful song. Excellent instrumentation.
Your voice is smooth and rich. I expected it to be a bit rougher for rock. I'd say it's more of a Roy Orbison/Elvis type of rock, so country rock as others have said.

My thanks to everyone who has commented...OK it's NOT a Christian rock/ballad it's a Christian country/rock/ballad...I can live with that...no rock star for me...oh well life goes on...but I do appreciate all of your comments...Dan

If you want to sing rock flatten the vibrato on 75% of the song and crank up some vocal fry (rasp) (sizzle) in spots. Or just be happy with the wonderful style voice you're blessed with. Enjoyed my listen very much. Josie

Thanks Josie for the comments they are appreciated...I've tried for 50 years flatten the vibrato in my voice so I guess I'll never be a rock singer...I'm OK with that and whatever style it is...it is...thanks again.
PS: I really like "Walking Streets of Gold"

Catchy tune! Brent is a bit busy on his solos in places, but thats me being nitpicky. Definitely country. Nice work!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
