Mario's Opus is my life, thus far that is, set to music. This song contains RealStuff, midi parts and myself. I’m sure you will be able to tell which is which, right? I do not consider myself a singer in any way, shape or form, I’m an instrumentalist, so please take this into consideration. Anyway I hope you enjoy it for what it is. The lyrics: Mario's Opus verse - When I was a young lad I was going to be a star Travel all around the world Playing my guitar So I practiced everyday Both rhythm and lead I could play anything that a band would need verse - Then I joined a local group The best band around we played a ton of gigs in all surrounding towns just before we hit the road there was a big strife because our stupid ass drummer took off with the bass players wife chorus- Now that I'm older and dumb like a fox now my band is in a box verse - I became a weekend warrior playing in a wedding band got married and had a kid everything was grand While playing a wedding job a man said I can make you a star he was an agent for a touring band and yes he had a big cigar verse- his group had an opening they wanted me to play lead but at this time of my life touring I didn't need So I gave up my big dream to take care of my family it's something I do not regret cause now I'm know though the internet ***chorus*** bridge – band in a box is great it's really really neat for the first time in my life I have a drummer that can keep a steady beat but there is one thing that puts me in a funk every time I have a couple of beers the whole dam band gets drunk Now that I'm older and dumb like a fox now my band is now my band is now my band is in a box
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanx all for listening and understanding why I’m an instrumentalist! Josie, I was going to add a lead part but by the time I got to record it the whole dam band was drunk

Hi Mario,
Yeah ain't BIAB great! It's the only band that won't complain when you wake up at 3 AM and wanna work on a song.
I like it. My favorite lines are: I have a drummer that can keep a steady beat every time I have a couple of beers the whole dam band gets drunk
Only one suggestion. I'd change the song title name to reflect your chorus.
Tim

Mario, Very clever, my friend! Really enjoyed it. You need to find a way to keep that band away from the bottle, though! According to my calculations, if you use 5 musicians in that "box of yours", and split 2 beers, that only comes out to 1/3 of a beer each. You guys must be real lightweights! (On the other hand, be careful that you don't start thinking you can drink 6 times as much when you are "with the band".) Keep up the good work! Steve

Like the band in a box reference. Could be interpreted either way, nice. Thanks for sharing! My Music

Steve, Robert and Cero thanx for listening. I’m glad the humor is coming off like I had hoped it would. Quote:

Steve, that’s why the whole band gets drunk .................
