Hello,

What are some ways that I could post a song here?

Well, I can see two paths (none of which have I taken---again, a newbie here).

1)---Choose or create a website to upload mp3's to.
2)---If I was at all savvy with video (which I am not), then YouTube is a fairly popular choice it would seem.

Dear Veterans, if you could be gracious, I am seeking some of your advice, comments or pointers as to where I may go to search out possible websites to upload and share.

At this point, I've seen SoundClick and ReverbNation for example...I'm positive there are at least a dirty dozen.

In addition, sales and ratings rank very low in importance (to me); though, entertaining those aspects would not be out of the question, I would not discount that if it were a feature of some kind...

I mean, realizing just how much more one needs to improve is always an excellent ego checker!

I hope to hear back...I really am looking to learn more and get into something as a vehicle to share and have fun.

Thank you in advance,

+1 for SoundClick. You can setup your account in several different ways and sell downloads of your music. IIRC, you get 85 cents per each $1.00 download payable to your PayPal account. You can also compile a CD. One caveat, you cannot post covers unless you first obtain the rights from the copyright holder.

SoundClick is also a great way to contact other musicians for setting up collaboration.

It's free to join.

Thanks Don and SD...

Say, I understand this may be "taboo", but I have another question.

Taboo because the essence of this particular board is indeed intended for PG related projects.

It is strickly so?

Apologetically, I am a bit "old school" trained in pre-PG/BIAB recording realms.

Old dogs are well...just old dogs aren't we! But I am trying...TRYING to incorporate BB...marrying the habitual techniques to the new is quite the challenge I must say.

I do strive for that perfect synergy.

Since I "seem" to do most of my writing/framework outside of BB, I may do well to try and master the ACW application---then bounce to RB (to cook it further)---then back again into my DAW of familiarity...for special touches.

At any rate, I thought I'd ask before offending someone.

I'd love to share...but not everything is BB/RB related.

Thanks again

Hi Flan,

Just a friendly reminder for future reference you'll get more answers when you post questions in the Off topic or BIAB RB product specific forum.

This forum is only for sharing your creations.

Soundclick and Soundcloud are both good, easy and free.

If your creation was done using BIAB or RB/RTs post a link to it here with some info on how you used BB/RB. If it was created by some other means - does not use BIAB or RB or RTs - post it in the off topic forum. Guidelines are in the user showcase faq.

Looking forward to hearing your stuff.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
