Hi guys and gals

I just finished a new song featuring bass and guitar Real Tracks in this disco influenced dance track called I'll Be Waiting.
http://www.reverbnation.com/stuartmoore/song/21941758-ill-be-waiting-vocal-mix

Goes to show how versatile real tracks are. I think the bass does a lot to drive this song.

Thanks for listening

Hi Stu ... I think this is the first of your songs we've listened to ... good to "meet" you!

We're fans of the genre ... Pop Disco. And you have the voice for it! Great song and presentation. And yes, the bass line drives this, no doubt.

Kind of has an Al Green sound. terrific job! Thanks for a great listen! Best to ya ...

Nice song! Where are the strings from? You made me break out my Session Strings and play around with scoops and falls...

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hello Stu,

This is the first real disco groove we've heard on this forum.
Very well done and as far as we're concerned your vocals could be a little bit louder in the mix.

Regards,

Stuart,

Very nicely done. No question the best disco we've heard...

Can you post the RTs you used? And what else was involved?

And, what are the claps? - I think they could come down a little - the instrument mix is good... speaking of.. you sure got a loud mix, there! nearly blew my headphones (or my ears)...

Very nice vocals.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not at my computer to check exactly which Real Tracks I used.
I know the bass and rhythm guitar are from one of the Jazz Funk real styles.
The strings are from a sample library called Disco Strings.
The piano is called Black Grand from Sampletekk which I played in Kontakt.
My wife also said I should raise the vocals slightly. I guess she is always right after all smile

I don't think it's so much that your voice level is too low in this, it's the clapping that's much loo loud.... as is the whole file in general, it started up on full volume and my cat jumped right up in the air from her napping! laugh

Strings are the killer in this though, absolutely 'makes' the song cool

ooh, is that cake?!
