My dear friends !

I am announcing my retirement from
active participation on the forum !
The time spent here has been most
wonderful, I have made a lot of friends
and I have even got to sing with some
of you !:)) You have all been most kind
to me and it has helped me over the
darkest moments in my life !:)) For that
I am indebted to all of you for ever !
It is just that sooner or later everything
nice must come to an end and I´ve reached
that endpoint !:)) I sure gonna miss you all
so please take care of yourself and continue
to make beautiful music as you have done all the
time !:))

May the future for you be as creative as ever
and may it bring a lot of new compositions
forward !:))

To Don, who once graciously suggested this
forum for me I say, thank you for that Don
and if you still want me to send my covers
to you I will continue to do so !

Please take care of yourself, you good
ol´Irishman !!:))

Cheers
and as they say in spanish
adios mis amigos !!!:))

Dani

Dani, you are my sentimental favorite here on the forum. Both in your music, which one could almost see the imagery of tears, from either laughter and joy or heartbreak, pain and sorrow determined by the heartfelt sentiment of your lyrics and mood of your music.

I always looked forward to your posts and even more enjoyed the genuine humbleness of your comments to myself and others.

Blessings on your new journey, you'll be missed here. They may say adios in Spanish but here in the American south land, we say "what goes around comes around" so don't cancel your account, good luck may bring you our way again some day. I hope so.

Best wishes,

Charlie

Dani,
I enjoyed your participation on this forum very much. But why goodbye? An old friends home you can leave, but surely you can stop by and visit once in a while...
Thanks for all your joyful comments, still be following you on soundcloud.com
Old goat, see you

Michael Jordan retired from basketball, and Joaquin Phoenix left the film industry. Both returned because they could not leave what they loved and were great at. I hope the story is the same for you. The door is always open and I hope, for all of our benefit, you pop in to say hello and post a new song. I think, like a lot of us, you were born to express yourself through music and you should never let that go. I won't say goodbye, just so long for now. Take care. Greg

Hi Dani,

I felt a little sad when I read your above post. You've been such a terrific member of this community and a wonderful friend. I know that you will be missed by many people. I hope you realise that you'll always be welcome to return smile Even if you only post one song a year, it will be really great to see you.

Take care. Enjoy your journey and have a great life!

I wish you the very best of everything,
Noel

Dani, my friend

It's with a mixture of bewilderment and sadness that I read your post. Like the others have said, don't close the Forum door. Leave it open and pop in again whenever you like.

We all make great company here on this Forum, people from many countries and many walks of life, to the point that we have all become good friends, special friends, a real team in fact.

I think you participated as part of your healing process. I hope that was beneficial. I actually felt it was.

Keep that door open

You take good care of yourself, and give us an update from time-to-time, eh? Don't you go too far now....

what??? No more Dani on the forum!!??

that is just NOT ACCEPTABLE! Please rip my arm off instead! Or poke me in both eyes with a sharp stick that's been dipped in acid... but PLEASE don't take DANI away!!

There are all kinds of solutions that are less final than retiring. Unless you and Li are going to a desert isle where there is no internet service (in which case, I think that's a pretty cool idea... but nevertheless..) why not consider reducing your contributions if that's too time consuming?

I've been here for 5 years and I never post anything, I just pester people... you don't have to be productive to be on the forum!

I think its pretty evident that everybody here likes you a GREAT DEAL and nobody wants to see you go. Even if you just check in occasionally that's better than leaving altogether.

Besides, you can't leave yet. We haven't made our own "PEOPLE'S CHOICE" awards where we list the songs we particularly liked from 2014. I suspect the name DANI will show up on that list a time or three.

But if, at the end of it all, you still leave... no, I can't even let that possibility into my thinking. You just can't leave Dani. I see no other way this can work.

;-)

Well, Dani, the smartest man on the Forum just gave it to you straight. As the famous boxer Joe Louis once said about an upcoming opponent with quick footwork, "He can run, but he can't hide."

That means YOU, my friend.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Dani,

As so many have said thank you for your wonderful participation in the forum and your endless good humour also your brilliant songs which have been a joy to listen to.

I understand why you might want to retire now from this forum, but sure hope to hear from you and your wonderful songs again.

Wow...I must say, although I am fairly new to posting, on most online forums there are "pillars" that hold up the soul of a forum, I believe you are one of those pillars on the BIAB forums. Thank you for your kind words on the only song I got to post yet, I will miss not anticipating your thoughts. All the best!

Earl

Hi, good ol´friends !

I could not pass this expression
of friendship without saying that
I am more than honored by your well
wishes as I have turned a new page
in my life ! I will not forget you
but I know that you will forget me
and that sooner than you think !:))

The show must go on even if
everyone isn´t on board !:))

I am thankful to have such friends
as you (I even think I wrote a song
called "Friendship")!

Without your encouragement and support
I certainly would not have written and
posted 37 tunes during 2014 !:))

I´m gonna miss you all !:))

"May the roads always rise to meet you
and may the wind be always at your back"

as taken from "Irish Blessing" a tune that
we barbershoppers love to sing to a very
good arrangement by Don Gray !:))

Take Care

Dani

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
