I let BIB do all the heavy lifting on this one. I just mixed up a couple of patches and did some vocal. I wrote it as a rock and roll song but it morphed into a country kind of jam.

Hard Times
It's a hard time to be a workin man these days
You're working longer hours for shorter pay
You got to keep on pushin, with just a little luck
You'll pay your bills, have some fun and save a couple bucks
Well it's a hard time to be a workin man these days

It's a hard time to to be a workin girl these days
You can work ten years and never see a raise
Then the boss she wants to see you and you know its nothing good
You'd like to tell her where to shove it if you only could
Hard times for a workin man
Hard times for a workin man

Monday morning oh no its just can't be
Monday morning you're not a frend to me
Hey Friday evening won't you rescue me

Hard Times

So mothers tell your newborn kids so they will understand
They got to find a dream and hold it close
And ride it till the end
Working for a living ain't all it used to be
To make it in this world you need creativity
Hard times for a working man
Hard times for a workin man

It's a hard time to be a workin man these days
Working longer hours for shorter pay
You got to keep on pushin, with just a little luck
You wont end up livin in your pick up truck
It's a hard time to be a workin man
It''s a hard time to be a workin man
It's a hard time to be a workin man

Good one Ricky. True subject matter as well. I feel sorry for the kids trying to make a living these days.

Regards,

Bob

Nice Country Blues tune, like the piano Biab rocks and so does this tune; thanks for sharing!

Love that verse! This is a really easy song to relate to. The money all goes to Wall street these days. Great job with the arrangement and vocal. Enjoyed much!! Take care. Greg

Thank you for sharing your art with us. This is a wonderful forum for posting original music. Not to mention a great product for creating music.
You have found a suburb community of generous artists who love to listen to, and comment on other artists songs. If only to give feedback to others who are also sharing their art.

Thanks to all who took the time to listen. I think I am going to take this scratch tune and give it the full treatment with BIB, VSTi's and live. Could take a while but I'm going to polish it up and I will post it when I'm done. Thanks again for the support, you're all great.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
