ROG,

I'm really glad you gave this a second run, too. It's brilliant!!!!! Really clever and done so really well. Everything about this says "professional" - writing, video, arrangement, mix, singing... you name it... top notch through and through!

Noel

what Floyd said! Man, I love EVERYTHING about that song/video! It's funny, upbeat, catchy, clever, well-played... and your choice of pictures to portray the lyrics was downright inspired! I had forgotten about the chorus line of dancers... brilliant!

If I made a list of my top 10 favorite songs EVER from the forum, this song would definitely be on it! Thanks for taking a few minutes to re-post it... I'm sure the newcomers to the forum will get a kick out of it! (and so does this old-timer)

Ha! Just watched it again, and it's still just as funny!

I just noticed the second time thru that you've included an ad for your music-prof service at the end... what a great idea!

When you consider how the cost of paid advertising can make it cost prohibitive to promote a business, then compare that to the fact that youtube videos stay online forever and it doesn't cost anything to keep them active! It's a no-brainer to append ads to the end of interesting videos!

Many thanks, Floyd.
Pleased that it can still make you laugh!
It's basically the story of my life and why I needed a "Plan B".

Hi Noel.
Glad you got something out of it second time around. Many thanks for watching again and the very kind comments.

Hi Pat.
After you mentioned this track in your own post, everyone was asking what it was. I'm honoured that it contributed to your venturing into animation big time, particularly when I see the quality of the stuff you're producing these days.

With regard to the reference at the end for our music-prof services, yes, it's the only way we can afford to do it, because all our instructional videos are free. More and more people are choosing to learn on-line these days. It's never as good as one-to-one lessons, but we can reach a much bigger audience and being free everyone can use it. At the last count, we had views from 88 different countries!

Cheers, ROG

Wow! This reinforces a comment I recently made in a different thread about the unselfish choice you've made to use your time and talent to help others! I have great respect for that! You're a good man, Rog! I feel honoured to know you and inspired by the things you do!

88 different COUNTRIES!! That adds up to a lot of people you've helped without asking them for anything!

Yes, we believe we heard this one before.
Very cool guitar, and definitely a vocal like Tom Petty!

ROG, yes, this is certainly a great way to have a laugh.

Great song, great balance, great lyrics (if only they were true!)

Tops all around.

Brilliant Rog, so good should be a hit, and played on radio.

Animation fits well, song is one of my favourite of yours.

Hi Rob & Anne-Marie.
Thanks for the view. Yes, the Tom Petty thing gets mentioned quite often, but it's always something I'm pleased about. Cheers.

Hi Dani. Thanks for watching/listening. Always value your opinion - glad you liked this one.
Rich? Not exactly. In fact, not at all!

We loved it the first time and have lost none of that love this time around....

We listen to Petty all the time so this just fits right in...cool.

The video is a clinic in how videos don't have to overwhelm one to be
effective. Just strip them down to the essentials and if you have
something to showcase it will work...and, man, does it ever. The thing
is hypnotic!

And the audio end of the production is brilliant -- vocals, lyric, arrangement
and a production that grabs you from the get go.

FUN!!!!

Thanks for the comments. More likes would be nice, but not everyone who watches has a youtube account.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
