This was written on an old version of BIAB
I do not have the particulars

Without you ever knowing © 2011
8/5/11 John Kenney

Even though you’re far away you know me, know me
If I had the words to say hold me, show me
But when I start to say you turn and slowly walk away
Another day Without you ever knowing

Thinking back along the way you said you were cheated
Can’t go back and change the days you felt so mistreated
Left out in the cold you tried your best to never show
So all alone Without you ever knowing

More times than you’ll know I wondered
how I ever hurt you so
With so much left to say how can I simply go away

But when I start to say you turn and slowly walk away
Another day Without you ever knowing

Every now and then when I try to make amends
Once again Without you ever knowing

This is a cool tune as well. I think it is a little heavy on the reverb. You have an excellent voice and the reverb kind of steps on it. But a super song....

What we do normally is post a song and let everyone have a listen to it while members are listening and commenting it will stay active on the first page. When someone comments it jumps to the top. When the song goes to the second page then a good time to post another. This allows the member who pop in all have a chance to hear your song.

Again welcome to the forum. The people here are great and have helped me allot especially when it comes to mixing and recording..

Thanks a lot...I appreciate the heads up on protocol
Yea I got a little reverb-happy back then....
I was writing again for the first time in about 30 years
and I hadn't even gotten into computer recording yet
I was using an Akai DPS-16

Wait I have to clarify that:
I was using a pc with BIAB
but was sending an audio mix into the DPS-16 and adding vocals.

It's hard to remember some of the particulars at my advanced age....LOL

I'm on a Mac now...the Akai is in the closet

Hi Again.

Another really cool song. And we agree with Scott - just a bit heavy on the reverb. Your voice is really good - let it be heard, as you did on your first post.

Good write and nice music. Ya did good! Good to have you on the boards!

John, I really like this one. Nice chord progression. Very well sung and a good write. The mix sounds good. As mentioned a bit heavy on the vocal effects. Again welcome, any friend of Kenny's is a friend of ours. You guys must have had a helluva band. Tom

Another nice one, John. Again, a nice mix and arrangement. I like how you used the steel (and did not over-do it). Nice vocal and harmonies...

Good song. Enjoyed the listen.

Another great song!! I like the production. The fx may be a little strong but the song has a retro style and I think it works well with that. I hear some Beatles/Everly bros with a bit of country seasoning. Very nice song!! Take care. Greg

John, This is a very enjoyable tune that I really liked. It puts me in mind of an early Beatles tune. As to the amount of processing used on the vocal track, I think it depends on the listeners individual taste. If you listen to it as a Beatles type tune it certainly works (which is my personal taste). From as country music fan, then you will like less processing. Great work!! Take care, Torrey

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
