This here is Tater Totts and I helped out David Snyder with his submission to the Xtra Styles Country Category, because I am in it to win it, and I'm gonna kill it and skin it.

https://soundcloud.com/david-snyder-gigs2/i-know-country

Specs:

Category_Country
(Is there another???)

Main style:DethVly3.

Then I added some Xtra Xtra Styles5. Which ones? Well, my first thought was to say none of your business, but if you really have to know I used pretty much ALL of them, because I didn't hear a bad one in the bunch. They all sound country to me.

And so I'll tell you the same thing I told Gregg Allman:

I know country, like a can of spam, like a cold Budweiser, in a tall Deer Stand.

I Got Country

By David Snyder

Intro:

Yeah this is Tater Totts
And I heard there was a contest going on here
You know I had to throw down if it’s country
So let’s do it

V1

Popping out my skoal can
Little bit of hot damn
Slinging in My Dodge Ram
Smoking up a big ham
Hanging with the big dogs
Walking like a fat hog
Throwin down a beer can
Getting me a sun tan
Playin’ in a jam band
Little bit a Alabam
Little bit of Jack Black
Girl I’m gonna throw back
And I can drive your truck
And with a little bit of luck
I'm gonna get me some white tail
Cause I’m the big Buck
And I hunt white tail all year year round

V2

And you can cut my heart out
But I love you anyway
Cause your bourbon kissin
Is what I’m missin’
I need it every night and day

CH

Cause I got country
Like a big hot damn
Like a can of spam
Like cold Budweiser
In a tall deer stand
I know country like the back of my hand

V3

And sometimes I wish I had
Just a little more of you
But you’ve given me enough of that stuff
And I guess that'll do!

V4

Cause I’m a racing
And I’m running
And I’m driving like a bat out of hell

V5

But sometimes I'm lonely
And I wish I could write
A song that sounds like Floyd
But I’ve never worn those cowboy pants
So it’s a dream I have to avoid

V6

But I can write song that sounds like Nashville
With a tailgate party that will stand the test
And I can rock and roll, I can rock and roll
With the very best

V7

And think about our mountain home
When you was only sixteen
Barefoot and pregnant in those Appalachian Hills
While I ran that still in the mountain stream

V8

Then old Neil Young came and wrote about us
But Neil Young better watch his self
Cause he’s been wearing that same old plaid shirt for three decades
And I tell ya, I kinda hate the smell

CH

But I got country
Like a big hot damn
Like a can of spam
Like cold Budweiser
In a tall deer stand
I know country like the back of my hand
I got country, like can of spam
like a big yes ma'am
like a cold Budweiser, in a tall deer stand
I know country like the back of my hand
I know country like the back of my hand

It is a combination of REM's It's The End Of The World As We Know it, Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire meets The Stones The Girl With The far Away Eyes meets Ray Stevens, The Streak and Charlie Daniels' The Devil Went Down To Georgia! What a oombination! Totally enjoyed this one. Sounds good enough to win. Great job.

David,

Ok, let's see if I can describe this...

It's almost as if Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline tapes blew up in a million pieces and were reassembled by Roger Miller and Weird Al Yankovic. LOL!

It's great - so very creative and full of energy... LOVED IT START TO FINISH!

A Tater Totts mash-up... "mashed 'tater" so to speak.

Legendary, indeed!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

This is great! How do you function in a normal world?

Very well done, my friend.

Hey Tater,

Have you thought about doin' a country song????

Love the changes throughout. An the lyric, well it's just downright awesome! I particularly like this part:

Cause I got country
Like a big hot damn
Like a can of spam
Like cold Budweiser
In a tall deer stand
I know country like the back of my hand

Reminds me of my father. He died in 1969. But you gave him a short breath of life - thanks! Now, I like a fried Spam sandwich (A little mustard please) and an ice cold Bud Select.

That was downright awesome! You can breathe now!

I think tater outdid Hank Snow's "I've been Everywhere" for most words in a little over three minutes. BTW, this is your best vocal, in my opinion. Standing "O"!

Some great funny stuff here Tater!! I rarely listen to a song where I can't read the lyrics fast enough to keep up with the vocal. I particularly liked this verse, and the Neal Young one too!

And you can cut my heart out
But I love you anyway
Cause your bourbon kissin
Is what I’m missin’
I need it every night and day

Great stuff David!! You have a unique mind! Take care. Greg

Thanks Floyd.

You know I just can't seem to write a country song without getting you in there someone.

It's kind of like trying to say Jack with adding Daniels.

It just ain't country and it never works.

Bob,

That is probably the most mind-boggling concept I have ever heard.

I think I will start writing a concept album on that!!

Funny Kenny!

But no drugs. Let me quote David Byrne.

"Do I do drugs?

"No.

"I am the drug."

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
