We went to a big old party At a friend's house Christmas Eve. Got tanked up and acting rowdy, So my wife said time to leave. As I staggered out to our car, Much to my surprise, I looked up at their house top, And I couldn't believe my eyes.
If there ain't no Santa Claus, girl, Who's the fat man on the roof With the funny looking reindeer And a sleigh full of loot If there ain't no Santa Claus, girl, Climbing out their chimney top With a big old sack of goodies, Somebody better call the cops.
Middle Break
As I stood there in the roadway On that freezing Christmas Eve And the coldness of the snow played Jingle Bells on my knees Lord I stared up at their house top And I could still see the sight Of a funny looking reindeer With a small red glowing light

Tater Totts told me to tell you he highly approves of this song. In fact, he is a little pouty and jealous right now but I told him to relax, there has to be competition or it's not fun.

Nicely done, even if you did use MIDI guitar. (Sorry, I couldn't resist! )
Thanks David for the listen... I often keep songs short so as not to bore the listener... even a short version can get the idea across. If I were to record the song properly (without midi ) , the 2nd verse would go something like this:

Thanks for the comments... and I'm happy Tater likes it!

Oh, this is superb!!! Nothing less than superb. And yes, Johnny Cash would have wanted to record this in an instant, I'm sure of it ... but yes, I agree that this is yours and yours alone. I'm going to run out of superlatives, but this is wonderful - standing ovation from me, bravo.
I've not looked at previous comments ( a little pressed for time), so if this is redundant, sorry. The very first thought came to mind for me was "I thought Merle Haggard had passed on". I can hear him singing this as thought I was in the studio with him. But, you did a dang good job on it - ya didn't need Merle after all! yep, it's a goodern! Enjoyed it from beginning to end. Best to you & Merry Christmas.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
