beatmaster,
Nice tune. Listens very well. Catchy arrangement. Good vocal delivery!

Comments... I might be wrong, as I just do not have much experience as most of members here, but it seems to me that your vocals are "peaking" somewhat. Also, this is probably a matter of taste, You have the guitar and shakers in front pretty clean as far s FX, but vocals sound a bit distant and have a "different" feel. One of many great tips I picked up on this forum is to use just a tiny bit of compression and reverb on Master bus, to glue things together better.

Best regards,
Misha.

Cool pop song - the vocal reverb may be placing the voice in another room but that may be me.
This has a very mid 60s vibe possibly even late 50s. Bobby Vee style.

Like others said: Catchy. Clear mix, good vocal.

There's a staggered vocal thing going on at 2:03 and 3:13 that I found a bit distracting... but that's probably just me.

Nice ear candy. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi beatmaster,

a very enjoyable thing - I was immediately attracted by the guitar intro. And what a great idea to combine a reggae rhythm and a 50s-like melody. Very nice!

Happy Holidays and all the best for 2019.

Thanks for your comments, somehow the reverb came on stronger as I mixed it to wave.

Sorted now.

Thanks

I can`t argue with the "catchy" consensus here. You have a good ear for the 60`s sound.
Nice stereo separation of backing tracks and a good vocal.
I enjoyed this happy toe tapper!

You've written quite an infectious song...
I enjoy listening to it... Maybe this my 3rd or 4th time of playing it...
Perhaps the volume of your vocal needs to lowered just a bit in the mix...
Or the backing tracks needs to be raised just a bit...
However it sounds swell just the way it is... so don't screw it up by listening to me shocked
What happened on the ending?... Maybe a fade out is needed wink
Merry Christmas!

Hey Beat!

I remember FOR SURE responding to this, but now I don't see my response.

ANYWAY, I really love the backing tracks and I don't see anything wrong with the vocals--they seem perfect for this type of song and arrangement. I like the pocket they are in. It makes the song invite you back for more listens. It is comfortable and the mix doesn't scare you off or overwhelm you. It is like a cozy chair if that makes sense. I think this is how they mixed back in the 50s and they sold a lot of records back then. About a million times more than they do today.

You truly have a knack for writing really catchy stuff, as I have said, and you never fail to deliver the hook.

Quite an impressive gift.

Happy New Year!

Hi beatmaster,

This is a terrific listen.

I love reggae-styled songs and, right from the start, you had me in the palm of your hands!

The mix is excellent. As I'm sitting here listening, I can hear everything independently if I focus my attention... your excellent singing, the bass, the rhythm and lead guitars, LOVE the shakers! The most important criterion for me when I'm mixing is to be able to hear each audio component at very low, medium and high volumes. I tried it and this song passes that test with plenty of room to move!

A wonderful presentation!

All the best,
Noel

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
