Another oldie. Midi from BIAB, massaged with love, sent through hard-synth, and stitched together in marriage in Acid Pro. BLEEDShe is flute, I am organ. LOVE is on a "need to know" basis, once all the bush beating is done. I asked the question. You'll have to guess what the answer was. There's a nagging in my soul And I'm weary of pretending to be whole I'll shout the doubt I feel at loosing all control To hear the answer in your heart. I don't know where this thread is set to lead But I know it's worse to dread than bleed. So we'll bleed. There's a question in my mind And up till now I simply haven't been inclined to trouble you. And I've been a bit afraid to find Pain from answer in your heart I don't know where this thread is set to lead But I know it's worse to dread than bleed. So we'll bleed. There's no longing to be free You know, I'm happy with responsibility So I'll ask it: I love you, do you love me? What's the answer from your heart? Now I know where this string was meant to lead And you know, it's no big thing to bleed. So we'll bleed.

This is SO beautiful. The flute solo is really ... beyond. And the organ is the perfect foil, made me smile. Up to the point of the solo section, I was thinking that it reminded me of "Everybody's Talkin' " by Harry Nilsson. Once the solo section started, I dang right forgot to think at all and sat there with a grin on my face, just listening. Seriously, great, great job - bravo.

Don't think I heard this one before. Really good write and I like the groove, and your vocal always sounds so "real".
I dig the instrumental bit, did you do the flute and organ parts via midi keyboard?
6.28 is long, but the song didn't seem long. Which is good!
Enjoyed very much.

A nicely written love song... The 1st half is very melodic &... The 2hd half lead ride section was just as pleasing... Good job on this one!

Thanks, all. I'm happy you enjoyed. Dave, I remember your comment on this piece. There is no instrument I can sit down and play with any real level of skill or talent. I'm only moderately OK on acoustic, but nobody wants to hear me strum for 6 and a half minutes. The flute and organ were largely delivered by BIAB. I "coaxed" it along in the writing with "extensions" once I heard where it was going. And with the flute in particular, there probably wasn't a bar of the play that I didn't "massage" in edit in some way. So I think it was a collaboration between the program and me, but I credit BIAB with the lion's share of the input. I do wish I'd had a different singer. My least favorite part of this is the vocals, but a writer has to carry his own water first.

a writer has to carry his own water first. So true ... me and my "Aznavour-like" [ (c) rsdean ] voice are much happier right now thanks to this quote :-) But be happy ... however bad things will be, you'll never sound quite as bad as me, at least ... I know, small comfort, perhaps, but still. Again, good job on the track. Does it matter how we achieve the end result, so long as we do achieve it? I enjoyed it so much, so ... there you go :-)

Hi Tangmo,
This is a terrific listen.
The melody is really friendly on the ears and very catchy. By coupling this with strong lyrics and a very well planned arrangement, you've created a delightfully entertaining work. I enjoyed it.
All the best, Noel

Tangmo, Very good stuff here! Lyrics are strong, and boy you have a way with them! Arrangement is sweet. Very nice flute and organ solos! It might be a good idea to bring vocals to the front somewhat. I had to read lyrics to fully grasp it. And I feel that guitar is way to the right. But those two things are a matter of taste of course. Excellent work!
Thank you for sharing!
Misha.

Lovely lyric, melody & voice. the MIDI backing is fine but I can hear a need for swing as opposed to quantization.

We know zip about midi but everything sounds good and well supports the nice vocal. Whatever magic you did to refine the solos worked exceptionally well. To quote Noel "The melody is really friendly on the ears and very catchy. By coupling this with strong lyrics and a very well planned arrangement, you've created a delightfully entertaining work. I enjoyed it." We'll add that it's a fine mix. And, hey, something good has got to be going on to hold me through 6+ minutes! Well done...as always. J&B

Tango, a lot of TLC went in to all that midi work you did in this one and you did a great job! A great song and a top notch vocal to boot! Thanks, Torrey

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
