I suppose this is more 70s to 80s rock than anything else. Used Brett with one held bass and one rocking bass and acoustic strum. Did you get it right???
In my humble opinion, I would give a big thumbs up and a YEAH BUDDY!
Sounds like it was ripped right from one of the Traveling Wilbury's cassettes!
Great playing and just the right sound for the era. And in my view for all eras.

There're some sibilant and plosive vocal things that could be dealt with as the voice is so far forward but the rest of the package is good good.

Hey Vic ...
Great to see you over here. Welcome to the site!
I really like this and I agree with the Traveling Wilburys reference. I've enjoyed your music a lot over the past number of years (7 or 8?). Good to hear another one from you. Will be watching for more!
Best to you. Be safe ...
Alan

Vic, Sounds good to me.I like your vocal and the ringing rocking guitars. The lyrics are straightforward and still have memorable lines, like these:
Irritating captivating .. alternating .... pain You're insane
Very catchy melody. Welcome to the forum!

Vic, Clever lyrics and phrasing. Good instrumentals and mix. For some strange reason lyrics reminded me of some U2 tunes. Enjoyed it!
P.S. You have some pretty cool songs in your SC library. I liked "Billy". If it has BIAB tracks, please post it here, I am sure it will be appreciated.
Misha.

Hi Bawb. I love the Wilburys. Wish there was more of them to come.
Thanks for the appreciation.

Thanks rayc. I thought I'd already replied but it's not showing up here.
I was saying that I do tend to be loose on the sibilants. When you get older your ears don't pick up the high frequencies very well.
I have adjusted the vocal down a tad now and tried to cut some of the other stuff. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Misha. Thanks for that generous comment. Not sure why U2 but if you think of it, it would be interesting to know.
As you ask, I will post Billy in a few days from now.
Thanks again Vic

Thanks Deej. I think I worked on the mix longer on this one than any other. Either age is getting to me at last or I'm getting more picky.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
