I built the music tracks in BIAB and added the vocals and extra instruments in Studio One. The style I used for this song was _PLEX.STY. I used the following RealTracks: Bass=683 Piano=1535 Drums=PopRock8ths AC Guitar Strum=405 AC Guitar Picked=3202 Nylon Guitar=2201 Electric Guitar=3623 Vibes=3765 I played the flute and strings in Studio One using the Presence instrument software. Sad but fun. Good work on the flute. Your vocal is very well suited to this style. Very well produced. Thanks for posting this catchy tune. Rob4580

Very well done!! I have to say that the heaviness of the concept (the world ending) is an interesting juxtaposition with the happy cheerful music and the hook line. Nice work! Take care. Greg

Hi Barry. This song is very good . The lyrics , voice , mix and arrangement are all very professional sounding ,.. perhaps a little too professional for my prosaic ears but that does not detract from the quality of your song. As for the YouTube clip ; I understand the desire to match pictures to the lyrics (which you have done very well) but personally , I felt the vigorous rush of images distracted from the music. This is not a criticism Barry of your fine song , rather just a personal preference to be taken with a huge grain of salt. cheers Gary.

Thanks Gary! I appreciate the comments. My wife would probably agree with you about the video clips. I always have her proofread my videos before I post them and she watches them a couple of times just to look at the pictures and video clips and doesn't pay attention to the music. Of course, she has heard the song,(or segments of the song) about a hundred times while I am working on the audio and then the video. By the time I am done with all the producing she is probably quite tired of hearing it. Eventually I will post all of my music on SoundCloud so people can just listen to the music. Thanks again for the comments. They always make me think of things to consider on my next project.

Catchy tune, well sung. Sticks with me after I stop listening. Good message, too. Unlike your wife, I try to avoid watching videos with songs. But I agree with Gary that showing images that might be distressing to people (even if comically over the top) can detract from the message of the song. Nicely done, I enjoyed the listen and the positive energy that you put into your vocals!

Thanks David for the comments. I opened up a SoundCloud account and will post my songs there for those who don't care for videos.

Hi Barry,
A very nice tune and 'happily' sung about serious matters! As someone else wrote, it looks your vocals are suited for this kind of music. I wasn't distracted at all by the images in your video. I liked them a lot, but I think this is all a matter of taste.
There is a lot to discuss about your approach on the things you handled. I just posted a song that did the upposite, I fear... But one thing is clear; you win on joy!
Have a nice day, Hans

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
