A Minor Case of the Blues

The title says it all plus a little play on words!

I am going for a live band feel here.

BiaB style = AG_Bless - Bluesy 12/8 Gospel.
Tempo = 62

I deleted all tracks but the drums.

Drums - various SSD5 drum kits.
I am playing the following:
Lead guitar - Tele copy
Rhythm guitar - Jay Turser Jazz box
Bass - Squire P-bass
B3 - Kontakt B4II - played via my keyboard controller

As always let me know what you think.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

It definitely got a "live" feeling to it... got thrown back to the years where I spend many nights listening to blues bands in clubs. Enjoyed it a lot, Mario!

Nicely played and composed. Particularly liked your work on the organ.

Hi Mario,

When listening to your song, I read the posts from will and Peter.
I had the same feeling as Will described for the song itself!
And about the performance, the same as Peter.
What does that mean?

I believe it means you achieved your goal; the live band feeling.
Well done!

Enjoyed it a lot,
Hans

It's fabulous to hear you playing guitar again...I've missed it.
The B3 came across really well too.

Mario,
I think goal achieved for "live feel". Nice, guitar playing! You need lyrics now, even some random phrase to give an element of surprise smile

I might be wrong, but I think B3 and drums are a bit hot in places and guitar could be little more upfront. But hey, you know how some of the fine club hardware is...usually it seen better days. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

That's some fine electric guitar work. Sounds like authentic blues to me. All the instruments are well played, including the steady drummer (BIAB). Good recording.

Sounds great, Mario, nice playing on both the Organ and guitar.

Personally I would like the guitar to be a bit more upfront, but that's a minor quibble.

You certainly achieved the live feel you were going for I think wink

It's hard to gone wrong with the blues and J&B.

And this is light years from wrong 'cause it's right!
Right in our wheelhouse.

Nice ethereal blues vibe on the guitar and the B3 is an
added treat.

Nice!!!

Not enough mistakes to emulate a real live performance. Now having the organ start in Em and figure it there was something wrong halfway through? That's the sound of live music. wink

Kidding aside, I enjoy listening to the blues, and this was no exception.
