As far as I know most, (if not all) of the contents are meant to be 100% copyright free. Since I am using the Original melody on this song. Does the copyright status still applies. as I intend to enter this into competitions. And I do not wish to infringe copyright laws on this.

You're not supposed to use their demo progressions/melodies etc. as far as I can work out.
Using the program to create your own stuff or cover others and even using the melodist to make a melody are all okay but not using their demo stuff.

Cheers

Robert this sounds great! Super instrumentation and perfectly mixed.

I am not a lawyer nor have I played one on TV but my understanding is that chord progressions can not be copyrighted so you should be OK. My suggestion is don't rely on us forum members for your answer but contact PGMusic as they will give you the legal answer.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

First, I have had a chat in the live help (Chantelle from PG Music), with regards to the issue of possible Copyright infringement. As Demo songs cannot be used as original. This means I cannot enter this into competitions as such.

Second, I would like to apologise. AS I have just found out that I am not supposed to post cover songs. I will perfectly understand If this is actually blocked or taken down.

I thank those of you who managed to have a listen. But I do like this arrangement though. Hope I can still keep it on Soundcloud as a Cover Version.

thank you.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
