Small composition dedicated to all the children of the world who live under the bombs or/and who do not eat their fill.

Modified on comments from Bass Thumper and RayC

I deposit a small composition made with the vst Biab in studio one

Realtracks used
2065 Piano, Rhythmic Newage Alberti Pretty Ev 100
2335 String Quartet, Rhyt PopHall ev 085
Midi file on which woodwind Spitfire one
Eastwest Choir File
No drums
Tempo 100

The main file was made in biab classic. Then opening of the file in the VST biab for arrangement, extraction of sentences and repetition of certain passages.

Very nice indeed. I particularly like how you used the choir.
Just one small nit/personal preference; the ending might not be so abrupt if you let your last chord ring out a little more.
Great job!

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Howdy Derochette....

It's a beautiful composition.
The pic makes it more poignant.

Do you think the string section could come up just a .5db - 1.0db or so?

Not a crit....it's good as is too. smile

Well done....

This absolutely fantastic.

Great instrumental

I really feel sorry for those women, kids, and the elderly that are in the combat areas. Your instrumental brings out those feelings.

Loved it

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Very nice composition. I don't know that I'm qualified to critique, but this melody and the way you've presented it are packed with emotion and feeling. I think you hit the mark.

Lovely.
I'd be inclined to make the strings stereo & wide panned and place that melodic piano part dead centre...that'd probably mean rendering it to mono to have the right hand centred.
My only reason for this is that the centre of the stereo image has nothing well defined and leading in it.
Mind you it sounds cool as is.

Cheers

First of all, what a perfect picture for this song, and then you created the perfect musical tapestry for the interpretation, Derochette. Very emotional for those who have them. Very sad for those who don't. Very well done for all of us.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Derochette
very well done song
The theme is of course very sad
Children actually always have hope
But when even they are sad it shows how
broken our world is...
Great work
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Hi rayc,
You are totally right. I broke the rules by adding a wide reverb on the piano instead of putting a narrower room reverb on this instrument and a wide hall reverb on the strings. I did it a bit out of laziness because I would have had to put a sustain effect (fx modulation) on the different notes in order to keep the piano centered. I will take your advice into account and revise my composition. Thanks for your wise advice.

i really liked this instrumental and definitely also the choir.

the piece evoked in me sorta a 'medieval' feeling or 'robin hood' or even reminded me of once when i visited the gardens and maze of hampton court castle in england.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
