This is the first composition with a vocal that I have written because I am useless at singing, so I produced the track and then had someone else sing the vocal for me. The theme of the song is how my 2 daughters and my wife want to get the xmas tree and decorations up "Earlier Every Year" It is all virtual instruments and I have produced it using Cubase. The only effect that I added (apart from a bit of reverb and EQ here and there) is a little harmony on the vocals in the chorus - this was done using the plug-in within Cubase. I used BIAB to enter the chords and get some inspiration from some styles, but didn't actually use any BIAB output on this tune. Earlier Every Year Lyrics: Autumn leaves begin to fall, now there’s no excuse at all, Get the tree out from the loft, Fortnum’s mince pies will be scoffed. CHORUS: Christmas cheer is nearly here, as soon as Halloween’s over Thoughts will be turning, to log fires burning, Earlier every year. Listen to those Christmas tunes, hear Bing Crosby as he croons, Get the wreath up on the door, cardboard boxes on the floor. CHORUS: Tinsel hanging on the tree, baubles bought by you and me, Check the lights and check the plug, isn’t it great to be this smug. CHORUS: Decorations all complete, Christmas gifts all wrapped up neat, Turkey’s ordered, have no doubts, but it’s still a month till we peel the sprouts. CHORUS: CHORUS:

Nice production Kelvin. I liked how I could hear that acoustic guitar throughout the song. I did think the vocal could stand out a little more, but the music was really great and loved that intro.

Really enjoyed this Kelvin. My wife and I have a small tree in the master bedroom that never comes down. So, we start Christmas earlier than everyone, because, well every day is Christmas at my house. Great song man.

Ha! Good tune. I like the humor. The subject applies to the department stores too! I like the instrumentation---very Christmas-sy.

Loved the vocal and lyrics!
Super backing band.
Excellent mix!
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Excellent song, Kelvin. Great idea. Well sung and a good arrangement. What you did with the instruments was really good, but I would recommend circling back to BiaB for some RT support. Very enjoyable song.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
