Hi All, Here's something new called One Night In Broken Arrow. Don’t ask me how I got here And maybe it’s a fever dream I’m standing on some ghost ground And I can hear the screams You can call it a Hilton You can discount all the souls Or listen for the foot steps Of a wild pony foal But I can’t shake this feeling And it’s wicked and it’s narrow And I can’t lose this vision One night in Broken Arrow Don’t ask me what her name was Or what she likes to wear I remember all the midnight beads And silver lotus in her hair She was talking about freedom The Creek Tribe never knew On what became a freeway Separated from her crew But I can’t shake this feeling And it’s wicked and it’s narrow And I can’t lose this vision One night in Broken Arrow The cars race down Highway 51 Where the old tribe used to run But I can taste the trail of tears In the blowback from the guns But I can’t shake this feeling And it’s wicked and it’s narrow And I can’t lose this vision One night in Broken Arrow But I can’t shake this feeling And it’s wicked and it’s narrow And I can’t lose this vision One night in Broken Arrow BIAB Tracks: 3786: Bass, Synth, MinimalHipHopHeld 095 3250: Guitar, Electric, Soloist ModernFunk 110 3784: Synth, Rhythm, GhostPads 095 1870: Synth Pad, PopModernGroove 075 Loop: Chillout/Chillout - Everest 85 Bass Loop: Drums/FolkModernSW16 Loop: Chillout/Autumn 82 Drum RealDrums: ElecRisersHypeTrain As always - thanks for listening! I love the poetry of your lyrics, Bob. Gives the listener something to think about which is a refreshing change from the norm. To my ears (which are past their sell by date) there is a bit of low end hum which you may have intended or maybe needs addressing or maybe ignoring.

Thanks Vic. Much appreciated. Yes, that low hum is intentional. It’s part of the bass synth.

Yes, this is very cool Bob. You're breaking some new ground for yourself with this arrangement, definitely got some very interesting things going on with the funk, and blues kind of a stylistic mashup with electronica going on. Very nice! And the lyrics as always are Dynamite.

That's a pretty cool song with (as always) good lyrics. The band is different from your usual stuff, but I really love it, the bass synthesizer adds a lot to it. Great idea! I'd probably transpose the song down a few semitones because I like your voice better when it's not so high, but that's just a personal preference.

That is an outstanding lyric packed full of great imagery.
The modern funk guitar is cool and the fills make us think of pebbles being skipped across a pond. And in that pond we can see the visions that he is describing.
The solo supports the mention of the blowback from the guns. The bass synth is ominous! Your entire production sounds modern and yet different … in the good way.
Excellent mix, vocals and band as always!

Bob.
Color me....Blown Away! WOW.
An incredible lyric. It paints pictures like an art film. It tells a troubled story like a documentary.
The backing tracks are as Fresh and Perfectly Chosen as the words of the lyric.
Your vocal drips with authenticity.

Another in the North American Cartographer's Songbook. Sounds fabulous - the loops work a treat. Thanks for the cultural/historical education along the way.

Bob, this is an outstanding song. Fantastic lyrics and a great vocal. I really liked the backing band. A great mix. IMHO this is one of if not the best to date.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

There are many machines to Bob Dean. Love the Lyric-Writing Machine. Man, your vocals... At first I thought it wasn't you, but that unimitable soud was recognized. What a terrific song, Bob. "Blow-back from the guns" indeed. Sweet guitar really adds the right touch.

Hi Bob.
What a journey! You've done a superb job capturing a dream-like sequence with somewhat haunting overtones. The imagery in these lyrics is breathtaking and as the lyrics unfold, the pictures filled my mind. The writing skills and musicianship on show here are of the highest order. You've got my standing ovation!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
