I will admit I'm old, (68), and I guess I'm old school when it comes to Country music. I turned on the local country station the other day, and thought I had tuned in the Rock station, and I found this on BIAB and wrote this song. It's different from my normal gospel genre, but I love the old type Country Music.

Good Old Country Music

What has happened to, good ole country music,
to the songs that I love to hear.
This progressive stuff they’re playing now, ain’t country music,
It almost brings a grown man to tears.
Whatever happened to the sounds of Hank, Merle, and Willie,
the songs that had a sweet melody,
What has happened to, good ole country music,
it seems it’s been an eternity.

Listen to the sound, of sweet harmony,
for ages long that’s how it’s supposed to be.
What has happened to, good ole country music
it seems it’s been an eternity.

Listen to that steel guitar, it can almost make it cry,
that fiddle music has gone bye and bye.
What has happened to, good ole country music,
it seems it’s been an eternity.
