I've downloaded both zip files onto my desktop. I unzipped both archive files and noticed you have sub folders for both Windows and Mac computers.
You indicated in a second post the folders should be moved to the Band-in-a-Box folder. Okay, then what? How does a user select which skin they want? How does a user revert back to the standard skin?
I have 2019 Band-in-a-Box. Will your 2018 splash screen replace the 2019 splash screen?
Hi Jim Fogle, I have edited the second post who show how to apply skins.
For the splash screen it 'll show 2018 version only if you choose my skin but you can replace it manually with the 2019 version you have (located in the image folder)
Edit: For unknown reason i can't edit the others post so:
Just unzip Metro & good old days in the folder: c:/bb2018(or 2019)/CustomSkins
Then Right click in the chord-sheet area click on: ==> display options Then on the new windows at the bottom left there's a button labbelled "choose skin" Here you 'll see my skins if you have unzipped in the correct folder .
You can revert back to default choosing simply "default"
Thanks for the links but something is wrong with the second one
No I haven't. Although I've downloaded and unzipped the files I am reluctant to test on a working copy of the program until I better understand what I'm doing.
I assume you are replacing default image files with files you have customized. How did you add a command under "Display Options". What steps is the command taking?
Hello! I can´t seem to find the folder to install the skins into. I have no folder called "custom skins" in biab 2019. Is that a sub folder that I have missed?
They have added a PANELS folder now that lets you change the color under the full screen mode buttons. When I made all the compact mode buttons they never had this so I should be able to make the same buttons for the full screen mode now but I can't find the background image for the rollover button (the light gray) the File buttons background color is big-panel-file.bmp:
Yeah, I found out there is no rollover image so I just made the background behind the icon the same color as the PANELS instead of the chroma key pink and 1 pixel smaller so it gives a boarder on rollover:
Hi, I have maid them on Windows if you look at the screenshots you 'll see win-titlebar.
Like pipeline said it should work for both or maybe some pic wil not work cause some are missing in mac version if i remember correctly but you can try them just make a backup of the old ones.
By the way i have checked and there's no file for the "over button"
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
