I love the chord progression of this song.
This song is F#m

Then bass has D#
F#m - E - D# -D
I wonder where this D# came from?

F#m = A

I'm in BIAB's Chord builder dialog and see that there is a D#m7b5

I don’t know if I understand it this way, right?

Yes, it's amazing what goes around, comes around.

We're hearing Donna Summer's Hot Stuff - 1979. It only took 44 years (except I think the original had a solo from Steely Dan guitarist Jeff Baxter) Nice.

RIKA x Galantis - Hooked (Hot Stuff) (Official Music Video)

A more modern rhythm that young people like.

As you've noted, the relative major of F# minor is A major. This means that the key signature has F#, C#, G# and no D#. The D# comes about from the various forms of the minor scale.

Natural F# minor is...
F# G# A B C# D E F# (it's the same ascending and descending and is based entirely on the A major notes)

Then there's F# harmonic minor (this is usually used for harmony)...
F# G# A B C# D E# F# (this is also the same ascending and descending, and introduces E# into the notes)

Lastly, there is F# melodic minor (this is usually used for melody)...
F# G# A B C# D# E# F# (ascending) and F# E D C# B A G# F# (descending) -- this scale introduces D# and E# into the available notes.

A chord progression and basic beat lifted from a 70s classic, with a slight rhythm change, that some young people like.

D # may come from Bmaj (B, D #, F #)
I saw "Bmaj/D #" on the fourth level of parallel F # maj
I found that Bmaj/D # and

And I found "B/D #" in the Slash Chord of BIAB

Yes, that is a good and noteworthy observation.

Follow it with the minor and I believe there’s your chord progression —

F#m — F#m/E — B/D# — Bm/D

“I look at you all, see the love there that’s sleeping…”
