newby question...how can i extend a song beyond the 33 bar default perameter?

Just click on the "32" number in the window at the top (by the end of the style name) where it says "End".
That will give you a pop up window where you can type in any number of bars for your song, up to 255.

Hi there!
That's correct! If you click on the End Bar set at the top of the Band-in-a-Box window, you will be able to change it to your desired end bar, effectively changing the length of the song.
