In the Chord Progression Builder the video incorrectly describes clicking a chord (to audition it) vs. shift-clicking a chord (to insert it). I am using build 1106 and either of those will audition AND insert the chord.

Is the video wrong or is it a bug in the program?

It’s a new feature, to be included in the next patch. Within a couple of days.

Thanks Peter, you have really come through with a quantum leap !
It's been 100 degrees over here all day, been catching brown snakes that come in the house to get out of the heat, totally worn out, I just lay down in bed and watched the video, it's great ! giving the users so much creative control.
Those Jailbreaks are great !

Really useful video showcasing the new 2024 features! You're hot. I'm cold. it's 3°C here in Arcachon, France, about as cold as it ever gets. You've got brown snakes coming in and I had UPS show up a day early with the Lakland HB30 hollowbody bass that I ordered from Fanatic Guitars in Barcelona, Spain. It's resting nicely, warming up so I can tune it and check the intonation. That will give me time to try out the new Multipicker in 2024 to create a backing track to play along with. It's SO nice not to have to work for a living anymore.

Happy Holidays, y'all! Enjoy your early xmas present, the BiaB 2024 upgrade!

hello

1.Please restore the refresh button on the right side of clear on the style page. There used to be a refresh button, which was very easy to use. But it was canceled in 2024. It would be best if the refresh key could be added to the F7 page.

2.The second and fourth chords of each bar can be played via enter-shift. Now only the first and third of each bar can be played.

The Chord Settings window is no free floating so you can leave it open like the Chord Builder:

Do I have to use the mouse to click 1, 2, 3, 4, and then click preview?

Can I use the right arrow key? → Then use enter-shift to play?

For the third and fourth chords, can't each bar be converted into direct input? This is very practical.

No. You can press the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 on the qwerty keyboard, but you must press Preview after each selection.

(However, this is now completely off the actual Topic of this thread)

Nothing happened

You need to press Preview then a number from 1 to 4 on the QWERTY keys, then press Preview to hear the chord. Then press a different number.
it works:

You need to press these keys. Do you have them?

Thank you very much. According to your hint, I succeeded.

Still, it feels inconvenient. Especially to the next bar will be more trouble.

Still want to be able to directly each bar four cells, and can use the enter shift to play.

SBM, wait until he actually tells you how. I think it is possibly a trick (?)

I would guess that he's copied an image and then manipulated it, some how...
Must be a graphic artist in another life (or maybe this one! smile )
It would be nice if BIAB would allow that mode for entry and audition though.

PG was suppose to make it like this to make things easy so you don't have to type in comas Bb,Eb Bb7,EB7
Then you can Shift+Enter to preview each chord easily. This way you can also highlight a beat, half bar or whole bar to regenerate now you have partial regen using the chord sheet.

If I want to change a chord on the 2nd or 4th beat I can without having to type the 1st or 3rd in again also, especially when you have long chord names.
Posted By: AudioTrack Re: BIAB 2024 Boot Camp Video - 12/20/23 02:11 AM
Yes, using Chord Options, you can just enter the chord you want on the 2nd or 4th beat without having to re-enter any chord on the 1st or 3rd beat:

The 100 degrees sounds nice (especially to a Canadian), but the snakes not so much. Hopefully the snakes just do that for a few days?

As a user. You need to first select bar, then select 2 and 4, and then click preview. Don't you think this process is very complicated?
Obviously, if we turn each bar into an input of four chords and use shift enter, it will make everything simpler.

Yes. I have tried the method you demonstrated. It's really inconvenient.

If BIAB does not change this feature, it can only be said that it is very regrettable.

It may be that changing some of the code to do this affects how other parts of the program work, and therefore might not be very straightforward to implement.

I do not know the answer to this, but I hope that they introduce the suggestion that you have put forward. I agree that it would be an improvement.
