Hi All

Just got around to start using this great software !

Primarily I want a backing band to practice with and a band to write with

BIAB and RealBand ( I presume? )

Where Do I begin ? Any good video tutorials around ?

I have to admit I haven't searched much
I signed up for the forum and updated for the first time today

Click Support at top and check some of the Tutorials and Videos.

Near the bottom of the video page, left side, there is a link to the getting started videos..

I think if you watch the 'quickstart' video, and then a couple of the 'new features' videos you'll at least have an idea how to get going. Just a thought.

I don't know of other sources right now. To be honest, I find this forum the best source, just ask how to do whatever it is you want to do.

Hi L5Lover,

I take it that you've been to this page ...

http://www.pgmusic.com/bbdemovideos1.htm

Even though the videos near the bottom of the webpage say 2008, 2010, etc., the techniques used for constructing the songs in Band In A Box are identical to version 2011. This is why PG Music leave the video links active. These videos are worth watching. Rest assured that if the links were not relevant, PG Music would archive them.

All the best with your adventure,
Noel

I highly recommend reading the manual. If you want to go beyond just the basic functionality of BiaB, like typing in chords and chosing a style, then just start reading the manual from the begining. Don't just read it, though; apply everything you learn in the program. I believe that's the fastest way to learn.

Good luck,
Jim

Check out Carlos E's stuff. Lots of Band in a Box blended with talent.

They should use his renditions as examples of what you can do.

He's the Spanish forum moderator and a great guitar player.

You never heard the word great guitar player from me. He should have learned keyboards LOL LOL.

That is the opening line from Love Story...just saying.

Dates me a bit.

Oh well, nice tune. Dated but nice. You Tube it.

Maybe there is more like me the beuaty of BIAB is you can just hit play and practice.

I spend 10x time playing than fiddling with the software thats whats so great here

Tip: If you dont like thew ssound of a MIDI song then change to a real style

its really that simple
